Keep in mind that kittens are like toddlers! They will put anything in their mouths! Don't give them anything with tiny parts that they can swallow or chew up and swallow. Do NOT give them anything with buttons or plastic. An old sock with catnip is a good toy. My cats still love a laser pointer. They will chase it for hours, and they can't catch it and injure themselves. Just don't point it in their eyes.
I had to take my youngest cat to the vet because she swallowed a screw. She was vomiting blood! Please be careful about what your kitty has access to.
I am extremely surprised that it doesn't like any store-bought toys. They make some pretty cool toys if you look at PetCo or Pet Smart.

Here's one that's a toy, scratching area, and hide-away all in one. Find a cardboard box (whatever size fits your space and the size of the cat). You can either cut off the top flaps for a fully open side or tape the top and cut cat sized holes on various sides for a more private play area. Punch holes in the top and use yarn to hang various objects inside the box. I have two kitties, so we cut multiple holes that were big enough for paws so one could be inside and the other outside trying to get them through the holes. The best part is that when the box gets worn out from scratching, you can just pull out the toys and toss it. Boxes are cheap (or free) and you don't have to worry about kitty being too rough :)
For a homemade version of the tracks with the balls in them, take a jingle ball and place inside a shoe box. Secure the lid by taping, banding, or gluing and cut various holes and lines on all sides. The holes should be big enough for kitty to fit her paws in and bat the ball, but not big enough to get the ball out. That will keep them busy for a long time.

maximum cats could have the main relaxing with an hassle-free wad of paper. yet I have been given a squishy-ball from a memento save, and my male cat performed with that until the protecting shredded. some cats savour catnip- yet oddly adequate, each and every tom cat i've got ever had became their noses up at it. So in case you are trying catnip, make effective that's in a small dose first so which you do no longer lose that plenty funds. don't get kitty treats without checking the labels first: Many are made with far greater salt than is reliable for a cat. Neuter or spay your kitten until now he's 6 months previous: it is going to end particular habit issues and wellness issues, and if the kitten is a woman will save you from having to handle undesirable kittens. come across a reliable vet you could artwork with. i've got met a selection who have been advantageous human beings certainly. and there is one I met who replace into an entire quack and would not pay interest to signs and indications that my cat replace into unwell until it replace into too previous simply by save him. on the line of the vet, confirm you recognize an emergency selection: you would be able to in no way desire it, yet once you do you would be happy you have it. in case you get an extremely small kitten, do no longer attempt to apply an entire-sized clutter tray with him: it extremely is a protracted thank you to climb for somewhat guy to bypass potty. instead, use something like a painter's tray, and later introduce him to the 'great-kitty' container. by the type, you could need the container in a position the place it is going to stay: Cats are creatures of habit, inspite of each and every thing. reliable success!

They love to play in paper bags, also Cat-Nip (you can grow your own if you'd like) any thing that will roll - even empty toilet paper cardboard- put some buttons or something in there so it'll make noise and plug up both of the ends and they'll bat that around - or my cat does anyway - or tape or tie some old feather's on the end of a stick and they'll go crazy for that. Hope this helps.

well i bought a toy at my pet shop that looks 'makable'.You can use an unused shirt. You cut it,and sew it into a small triangle and before you sew it shut, put sum catnip in it. So it should be a trianle stuffed with cat nip. My cat LOVES it!!!
Ohhh and take a string or piece of yarn and tie a feather at the other end. also FUN!

A large paper bag and a ball of tin foil are great and inexpensive toys.
If you have some tissue paper-put that in the bag and leave it open on the floor. Your kitten will go nuts!

take a long thin stick, put a piece of twine on it,maybe 12 in. or so , and tie some feathers or strips of rags to the other end and u have a great toy. Or take a ball of yarn and roll it across the floor. u can also try big brown paper grocery bags, mine loves to go diving in them and i rattle the other end and he attacks it. he also likes to dive into our newspaper when we rattle. good luck

This is very simple and my cat loves to play with it!
Take a peice of aluminium foil and roll it into a ball (not too small)
make it roll and call his/her name, roll it toward him/her
Take a peice of string and dangle it in front of him/her
=D
