My cat had constipation from a hairball and was given an enema one week ago. She emptied out and since then has been back to "normal" in terms of attitude and appetite. She is not vomiting, but she has not had a bowel movement in 7 days. She exhibits no signs of pain and has not been in the litter box straining, either. Basically, she is one happy kitty -- eating well, playing, and urinating normally. She just hasn't deficated. My vet said to wait a few days but I think she should have had a bowel movement by now?

My dog Bailey is in pain. When we took her to the vet he said it was either pinched nerve in her back or her neck. He gave us some pain pills that seemed to help the first couple days but now not as well. Is there a natural remedy for pain? Or a dog chiropractor?

We have recently adopted a husky/german shepard/akita mix from the humane society. She's a fantastic little dog, quiet, mellow, and a perfect family companion. The only thing is, we don't know what to do with her while no one is home. We don't have a fenced yard, however we could build a kennel for her. Or, she could stay inside during the day. We are gone for about seven hours everyday during the week. What should we do?

I have a new neighbor that has thrown unbelievable number of mothballs out into a mother ducks nest (the babies hatched 5 days ago and the duck family is now on the other side of my porch away from the her house). I could not figure out what the horrid smell was & finally discovered it today. I looked it up on the EPA site & it states that using mothballs is illegal & is number one on the No No list of pesticides. Not to mention the horrible smell for the neighbors nearby & that fact that it is toxic & they are not soluable in water - they only break down as a gas into the air. So, I called my local animal control & protection - they stated they tell people to use them to keep snakes & other things away from their house! How can my city be telling people this when the federal EPA agency states they are illegal to use as a pesticide due to their toxicity? Tell me if you heard of this type of issue & how it was taken care of. I filed a web complaint with the EPA.

Hi, I'm breeding my betta fish. The male has built a bubble nest and the female is gravid with eggs. She is also displaying light vertical bars (not as dark as the were the first time I introduced her 2 days ago). The first time I introduced them, the female seemed a lot more interested. Now instead of her following the male as he flares, male male chases her away all around the tank. He also hangs around his bubble nest a lot while he isn't chasing her. The femail wanders to the bubble nest only to be chases all around the tank. The temperature is 86 and I'm feeding flakes and blood worms 2-3 times a day. I kept the female inside a clear inverted jar in the tank before I released her and the male occassional came and flared at her through the glass, but she seemed to want to dart away.

Well the situation is this: someone sold my sister a dog that was supposed to a be a pure bred pit bull puppy (2 months old). He had a crush on her so he sold it for 60 dollars instead of the 250 he said the others sold for. But no papers. We couldn't keep her because it turned out my other sister was highly allergic to dogs (and a hundred other things.)

So we needed to sell her to get back the money we spent, not counting food. So I looked her up on the internet and found photos of pit bulls that looked EXACTLY like her. I posted the photo next to the ad I placed on the internet.

She was sold for $130 dollars. They came and picked her up, did not ask for papers, (I didnt have any anyway) then two days later called to say their vet said she's not pure bred and they don't want her anymore.I told them to bring her back but they did not. I had other buyers willing to purchase her for 99 dollars even though she was possibly mixed. It has been a month. They still need to pay for the dog

I wanna get a horse, I know haw to care for one and everything. (Shots, de-wormers etc.) But I dont know how to convince my mom to let me get one. I have my father behind me and we have both tried to talk to her. i understand a horse can be a lot of money but I would sell the other half to a friend who knows horses too. So I would not have all the debt on me. I've explained all that to my mom and she still wants estimates on everything and I keep tryin to give them to her and she keeps finding something else wrong with my plan. What do you think I should do to help show my mom that I A) know what I'm doing with the horse and B) Can take care of him, even if I have to give up track? I have worked with horses in the past for several years and she still doesn't trust me....
