Well the situation is this: someone sold my sister a dog that was supposed to a be a pure bred pit bull puppy (2 months old). He had a crush on her so he sold it for 60 dollars instead of the 250 he said the others sold for. But no papers.
I looked her up on the internet and found photos of pit bulls that looked EXACTLY like her. I posted the photo next to the ad I placed on the internet.
She was sold for $130 dollars. They came and picked her up, did not ask for papers, (I didnt have any anyway) then two days later called to say their vet said she's not pure bred and they don't want her anymore.
I told them to bring her back but they did not. It has been a month. They still need to pay for the dog.

Most rescue agencies I know will place a dog for @ least that much. But it is utd on vaccinations and is altered. So yeah, I think you could sell it for that much. But hate to be one to harp but you really should get your dog fixed, unless you plan on becoming a liscensed breeder. Also be very thorough on you selection process on who you let take you animals. It has already been said, but will say it again. There are 2 types of people who want pits. One type understand the true nature of the breed and want them as a good pet. The others only understand how agressive they can be made. I stress can be made and are going to get them to abuse and starve them until they are willing to be trained to be mean.

Apparently some people who answered this question are idiots. Mixed breed dogs are actually fashionable now. While I do not agree with this practice at all, mix breeds such as puggles, Labradoodles, and goldendoodles are extremely popular. I personally do not agree with these breeding practices, they are making alot of money. Look at this dog, instead of a mutt, but as a special mix breed. I hope you dont take others advice that this is a piece of #### dog, there is no such thing as a bad dog, just bad owners. Do some research on to what this other mix could be. Good luck!!!!

Plz do see the ad below in a website:-
Pit Bull Terrier puppies for sale from dog breeders in ... PITBULL PUPPY BIG FEMALE Razor's Edge. Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier Puppies. Price: $1,500.00 ...
So you bought that fellow for $60, which clearly shows that it is a mixed breed which is of no use among the pet owners. I think you won't get single penny....

Hate to break this to you, but mixed breed dogs are worth very little (monetary). If you're looking to get some nice money for a mixed breed dog you have to give it some creative and aggressive marketing (like folks who sell some of the designer breeds).

There are so many mixed breed dogs in this world that need a good home and are free. some just for adoption cost. Spaying and shots. the price of the pet is from the owner and it is not based on dollars and cents but what the dog is worth in unconditional love, all forgiving, loyal , mans best friend etc.. I guess its how you look at it. If your looking for a big profit in
cash. I would hang it up.

Priceless!
However, you'll probably have a hard time getting anyone to pay money for a mixed-breed...commonly known as a MUTT. If you're looking to give it away, find it a good home and be happy for it. You could ask for a small amount of money for whatever food, crate, etc. you give away with it...but breeding mutts is not a profitable activity.

There should be NO charge for a mixed mutt... As a matter of fact, there should be NO SUCH THING as a German Shepherd/APBT mixed because ALL dogs should be FIXED if your intentions are to be a BYB and breed mixes. Don't lie.. You want to know because you want to breed your new puppy with you aunt's dog.

Yes, $100 is too much considering that there are people who camp out in front of Wal-Mart and other stores to GIVE puppies away. There are countless ads in papers where people are giving a way puppies for free. Why pay $100 when you can easily get one for free? I think the adoption fees at most rescues are cheaper than that, as well.

NO! I payed 99.99 for my pit bull lab mix. Shes the best investment ive ever made. "mutts" as people like to call them usually turn out to have the best temperments of dogs. I would do it all over again. Read your other question. Sorry about that, it happened to me when i had pups in january. A guy got 2 of my puppies and told me that he would bring me the money the following week on payday and never did. i was just out of that money b/c i didnt get him to sign anything.

There is no breed standard for a chi/doxie, chiweenie, poodle-poo or whatever name you want to call those mutts. Why, because they are`nt a breed. Turning out these mutts for a dollar shows you have no standards yourself and no respect for anyone else. Don`t try to sell yourself as being qualified to give advice, you need to take some. Go to Oz and ask for a brain.
