I want to know in which water does goldfish grow fast, in rainwater or in tap water?

my male guine pig is having social problems. he won't go near my other male pig and if he does he wants to fight.
He don't let a lot of people pet him. he only lets me pet him in any way even though he does not like it. If any other people do that he bites them. is this ok

I have a Corgi, about 9 months old, we love her like a child.
She suddenly is all lethargic, slow, and just droops around.
The last 24 hours she has just sat in the laundry room by herself, watching us, not bothering to pick her head off the ground too much.

I have felt her all over, she is not in pain, just looks like death and is slower than a turtle, what can I check, or do?

I had to perform euthanasia on my dog after he was diagnosed with lung cancer, when the vet was inejcting him he screamed very loud. The vet said he did not suffer and that about 50% of the dogs would scream. I have put another dog to sleep in the past but this one did not scream. Is it normal for them to scream during euthanasia or did he feel any pain?

in about a year im going off to college to major in business.
should i open a doggy day care .. or a non-kill animal shelter?
ive always wanted to open an animal shelter but can i make a decent living on it? i mean its not really about the money, i just wanna make enough to survive on. or maybe i could do both and have a doggy day care AT the shelter.
i dont know.

and how would i go about doing this? and what classes should i take once i start college? *if this helps* i wanna go to North Carolina State University, and plan on opening up a business.

I have scabs all over my body, the hair on my body is falling out, my ears are irritated, my gums are pale, I have no appetite, all I do is sleep, my eyes are crusty and my nose is running.
Instead of getting advice on Yahoo Answers, why doesn't my owner take me to a vet who is the only one that can help me?
How do I let my owner know I need their help now?

I have two puppies, we got one in may when he was two months and one in April, when she was two months. My male dog puppy was completely trained within a month. However, the female is now almost 6 months old and going potty in the house many times a day. We trained them both the same way...yet she just doesnt seem to get it. I feed them at the same time each day, and take them out at the same time. Someone is home all day with her-she is taken out many times. She is rewarded when she goes potty outside. She poos in the house atleast once a day. I dont know what to do next. Is it possible she will just never get it? I need helo im going crazy!! What else can i do?

I'm hoping to buy a few guppies, but I only have a 2 gallon tank so I'm not sure how many to get or what to do. Does anyone know about how much a 5-10 gallon tank costs? Also, I don't know too much about guppies, is there anything I need to know about them before I buy them?

At a pet store, I saw a beautiful baby snake that was ringed w/black & white. It was labeled "Australian Corn Snake". After viewing several websites, I read that corn snakes are native to eastern US, and didn't see any pix or mention of black & white corn snakes. This was obviously not albino, and the pattern wasn't like any pix I saw. Maybe the pet store didn't really know what kind of snake it was? This was one of the prettiest snakes I have ever seen, and before I purchase one like this, I wanna know exactly what species it is.

My betta fish just had his 1/2 gal. tank cleaned a few days ago but now there are little tufts that look like cobwebs on his plant and treasure chest. I feed him once every other day and this is the first time it has happened. I don't know what the white stuff is or how I get rid of it so please help!

We need to find out what our cat has, but the issue is, just a vet visit here takes a month to book, then theres a $60 fee, even if there's nothing seriously wrong, so hopefully you guys could give some help.

Our cat is about 2-3 years old, a tabby mix and inbred, (Was a cat from our backyard that we took in), she was fine until now, which si when these symptons have started.

Scabby Areas on her skin.
MAJOR loss of hair, her entire underbelly is bald, and its starting on her back and head now.
Loss of apetite, she'll eat, but only once per day, and only if we pet her while she's eating.
She sleeps 90% of the day now, and will only sleep on somewhere that is warm (she likes on top of the cable box...)
Meows a lot when someone comes near.

Is this possibly just due to old age by being inbred, or is this a serious health issue, and if so, any ideas on what it is? (If it is, and we know what, we may find a way to go to the vet, as we lost a lot of income when our dad died.)

We adopted a bulldog in March of this year, he was 18 months old. In the 7 months that we've had him, he's broken out in skin allergies twice and was placed on antibiotics / antifungal medication by the vet. It's costing us a fortune!!

He typically gets small red bumps on the top of his head. He also gets what look like 'hot spots' on the rest of his body.

When we bathe him, we use hypo-allergenic shampoo. We were feeding him Royal Canin, but recently switched to Nutro.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I have a 55 gallon tank with three 2" cichlids, an algae eater, a 4" hammerhead shark like fish and a 6" Jack Demsey.

When I bought the Jack Demsey last year they told me he would get along with the cichlids, and he did, like a charm. I think he was maybe 4" then... I'm not sure, but the cichlids were a lot smaller & it was OK.

Anyway, all of a sudden he is being aggressive with my most beautiful blue cichild, chasing him and even staying close to him to keep a watch on him. The poor thing now hides in the corner all day. I'm afraid that the blue fish is going to die of stress. What would make a docile Jack Demsey suddenly a bully?

Are Jack Demsey's usually too aggressive for cichlids?

My next question is regarding Tiger Barbs. I like barbs and think they are pretty. All the stores tell me they won't get along, but I've seen messages on boards where people are keeping them together. What are your experiences?

Also, could I add a betta to this tank?
