no, and don't wipe the eyes..just get the cloth wet with warm water and let it sit on the eyes for a few seconds. It is safe to use a triple antibiotic ointment in the eyes, but NOT the one for pain...please remember this.
The triple antibiotic can be neosporin or equate brand from walmart....but just a thin dab in the eyes twice a day for about 3 or 4 days...

Please please remember that the triple antibiotic I am talking about is NOT the one that has the pain reliever in it...it is just the regular one with the three antibiotics...
The best thing to do is take the kitty to the vet to have it checked out just in case there is something else wrong with it...sometimes they get diseases that cause eye infections.

NO! There are different strains of pink eye and medicating your cat with your daughter's meds is not a good idea.
How do you even know the kitty has pink eye? Wiping his eye is not going to treat the problem, only a vet visit will take care of it.
It could be a scratched cornea which if left untreated could result in the loss of the cat's eye.

DON'T DO IT! It can damage your cats eye permenatly if you put to much or any in your cats eye. The first thing that I would do is make sure tht there are no other things wrong with you cat (boy or girl BTW?). then I would take your cat to the vet just in case. If you do put some human medicine inyour cats eye it will make it worse. talk to the vet, and see if it is a thing that will pass over time or somthing that medicine can fix. My cat had the same thing happen to her, and it turned out to be really serious. See the vet soon. Good Luck

NO!!! Don't you could blind her. For now try and see if there is an irritant causing the crustiness. Is she also sniffling? cats with upper respiratory problems often have milky eyes and sniffles it could be a kennel cough which is a type of virus animals get from each other similar to a cold but need to be treated by a vet with antibiotics. You might need a trip to the vet for some meds.

No, you shouldn't give an animal a human prescription particularly when you don't know what the problem is with the cat. You should take the cat to the vet to have its eye examined. There could be foreign matter in its eye, or a scratch on the surface, etc.

definitely check with the vet first..especially when dealing with eyes..don't want to end up blinding your kitty! Some meds the vet uses are the same or very similar to human meds, while sometimes human meds will KILL a cat. Don't take any chances, talk to a vet before giving a cat ANY human medicines.

NO!
Cats can not absorb and use some human medication, depending on the medication you may be giving your cat something that will kill it.

Also, you don't say what kind of medication- if itis eye drops, you may contaminate your daughters medication.

AND cats get several eye disorders, you may be wasting the medication and not helping your cat.

Call your vet please. Eye infection, feline herpies virus (affects the eye) entropian, injury, foxtail or sticker in the eye- all of these things are possible.

Absolutely NOT!!!!! Ther is an eye medication for cats that is sold in some feed stores or pet stores called terramycin. You could try that, but please get to the vet within 2-3 days if it doesn't get better. It's eyes can get ulcerated and become much worse....
