youll be wondering this for a LOOOONG time I think! Reckon if you check out the RSPCA website, Cats Protection League site or Blue Cross website, they might have some rough estimates.

I'd say a quarter of the population but most people have more than 1 cat !!! I have 3 !!!

Read once that nobody 'owns' cats...on account of them taking their leave now and then and not returning 'home' until they've had their fill of freedom.
Also their independence can irk some of their 'owners' to mistreat or even kill them.

nearly everyone i know has one or more cats i have three so i would say at least 1/2 the population

I had three, lost two to feline leukaemia, now just have the one lonely old cat. Bless her.

people don't own cats. the cats own them. they're not faithful like dogs. if you didn't feed and water them etc they would simply turn tail and disown you and find someone else who will pamper them.
