Hes a german shepard mix and he was outside playing with my dad's friends' dog and their dog has parvo. I'm worried my dog might become infected with parvo. I don't know what gender their dog was. Should I take him to the vet?

My pit goes nuts over wood. Currently he is served 2 parts Purina puppy chow to 1 part Natural Choice (in process of switching to adult food) but any time there's *anything* wood (unvarnished) he eats it. Doesn't just chew it up... eats it. He has plenty of chew-toys and a Kong... I'm guessing maybe there's something nutritional he's missing that he gets from the wood? Oh, and the 3-part meal he is supposed to get every day (according to the package) he takes 2 days to eat. Any Ideas?

My tank is 55 gals and my adult fish just had babies. I found them swimming on the top of the water (no not dead) so I quickly scooped them up in a net and put them in a bowl. Can they be with the other adult fish, or will they eat them etc.?

I've had my cat Furby for a year now and a few months after I got him, I got another cat for him to play with. They got along great, however, the cat ruined my apartment and had some really bad habits so I gave him to a friend. Then I got another cat which I also recently gave away because of many reasons. Now my cat Furby seems so depressed and lonely. He always wants to play and I'm not home much to see him. Should I get another cat?

My dad cuts my cat's whiskers and I wanted to know if it was okay. Basically, my dad is cutting them because he heard that cat's judge space by their whiskers. (how big a space they can fit into kinda thing). Well, my cat is 18 years old, and her room in the house is the downstairs bathroom. Recently, we remodeled it, but when we put the washer and dryer back, they didn't quite fit and now there is a gap between the washer/dryer and the wall. Our cat likes to go behind there in this little space, and we try not to let her go behind there, but she does anyways. The problem with that is that she stays behind there, and because she's an old cat, she'll be lazy and just stay back there and do her business back there. It's a big enough space for her to fit, it's not like she's fat and she's gonna get stuck back there, she's a small cat for 18, but I was wondering if it was still okay that my dad was using his electric shaver and trimming her whiskers.

I have a run for my rabbit and would like to add a medium sized hutch that she can go into while out there. Preferably it would be on the ground or close to it.

I had my dog chained out on her leash last night and walked outside and there was a dog on top of her doing the deed. How would I know if she is pregnant? How long does it take for a dog to get pregnant? Does she have to be in heat to get pregnant?

I have a teddy bear hamster and he is less than a year old. He has this large growth on his chest that appeared practically overnight and I don't know what it is. The spot isn't hard but it appears to be getting bigger and bigger, fast. He's still very active, eating, playing, ect... Can anyone help?

My vet recently diagnosed our new puppy with skin allergies and told us to give him 1/3 of dissolvable children's Benadryl. Our 13 year old male cat has a terrible flea allergy. We give him Frontline Plus but he is an outdoor/indoor cat and he gets a flea now and then anyways. One flea and he has a terrible reaction. He bites and itches so much he makes big sores and has caused infections. His vet won't give him Hydrocortisone anymore (jt's dangerous long term I guess). My question is would children's Benedryl help him too? Anyone else have something that's worked on their kitty? He's such a sweet cat and I want him to be comfortable!

the ceiling fan when it is on, the vacuum cleaner, the garage door when its going up or down, brooms, plastic bags, telephones ringing and more but he won't bark when someone comes to the door. What is it about all the other things and why doesn't he bark when someone knocks on the door? I don't get it!

is in a fresh water tank with about 16 other small freshwater fish (no other Betta's of course). Everything is fine with all of the fish and the water is fine . Today I noticed that he wasn't swimming around much like he usually does .. and didn't come up for food. He finally came out , but he is now swimming with his body at a slight diaginal slate .. with his head pointed downwards. He seems able to swim through the water .. but off balance. Any chance that this will clear up ? Or is he on his way out ? Thank you !

I have a dog and a cat and I am looking for cheaper alternatives. I would like to buy online if possible. My vet just charges me so much he is going to break me.
