I'm in New Jersey and I'm cat-sitting a big black cat that's jumping around everywhere in my apartment. I want to be able to work. How do I make it chill the fxxx down?

p.s. It's got everything it needs: food, water, litter, toys, blankets, fresh air, attention, etc. but it keeps bothering me.

I got my mattress and box spring back from a friend who needed one until she herself got one to get back on her feet. She raises cats and breeds them and the mattress got soiled. My cats pee on the spot nearly every other day. I sprayed and washed it but they still urinate. How can I get ride of the smell and stop my cats from urinating.

Ok I went out to check on the critters this morning and found a blob of white mucous.. it is about salad plate size, stuck together quite well and no blood....

the animals that are in the pasture are Sheep (some with lambs some without.. but none due now) and Llamas, one who just had a baby and one due soon... no signs of illness in any critters... other than one sheep has had a on and off cough...

just curious at this stage... we are rural and our vet doesnt have a good reputation so thought I would try my luck here first if anyone knows - thanks (no guesses please, I realize there are alot of people who are unfamilair with animals and just make up answers.. )

My boyfriend and I want to get a dog. I'd like a bichon sized dog but he wants something a larger one, something in between would be nice. We live in a townhouse with no yard, we'd have to take the dog for walks. Because we don't have a house we can't go too big. We want a dog with a calm disposition. His family has always had bouviers and my family has always had bichons so we need to find a nice medium sized breed. What would be a nice dog for us?

I came home relly late last night and my cat was sitting @ the door waiting 4 me, and when I picked it up, it bit my mouth after a while. Maybe cuz it smelled the smoke on my breath?? But I scolded it and did not let it sleep in my room, I closed the door. He had to learn, was that good or bad? Then this morning it bit my leg and tried 2 run away, then when I got the belt out it started to act right. I didnt spank it though. ( and I do not beat my cat when it is bad. I say NO and may spank his bottom or sid echeek from time 2 time when it is really bad)

I gave my friend this dog. I spent the last three days looking for her and found her after looking day and night.. She was a nearly starved stray when I got her. I spent months looking for her owner, and when I found none, gave her to my friend who has post polio syndrome, and loves and pampers and loves this dog unbelieveably. I brought her home yesterday from a three day spree during which time she was hit by a car. Today she got out, and was gone again. We found her and secured where we think she got out, But why does she leave? Is there help for it?

I just started cat sitting for my sister today while she is on vacation. She won't be back until next week. Her cat scratches all the time and I think she has fleas. How quickly do flea collars or other medicines work on cats? I want to get rid of them fast so the fleas don't get all over my house, but I want to make sure its safe.

Normal for him to cry off and on aduring the day while I am at work. My daddy says that he can hear him in my house crying and howling sometimes. This makes me feel kind of guilty. He is in a big open room with a big dog bed, plenty of toys, a crate to go into for security(like a small dog house). I can't have too dogs in the house so getting one of his lttermates is not an option. Will he get used to this routine and quit crying constantly?

My cat is an approx. 7 years old male.We got him as a rescue cat only 2 years ago and we noticed in the first few days that he was being sick but we thought it was just stress of moving but took him to vets just incase and they said that without an op they wouldnt know what is up with him but as an educated guess its Feline Irritable bowel Syndrome and we started him on steroid jabs but they didnt do anything for him.We spent a fortune on special diets and he was still sick.we dont know what to do, we cant afford surgery to see exactly what is up with him and he is suffering. He has recently gone from being sick once or not at all a day to 2-8 times a day and i recently noticed parts of the vomit was red like blood (it may be his food as the biscuits are red).Its distressing for us, for him and our other 2 cats.Should we consider putting him to sleep? I would feel so guilty though because we put my dog down and i regret making that decision for her and i dont want to be without my cat

I was in petco one day when I saw the poor little bettas. I felt bad and bought a blue and red shiny one plus a one gallon tank with a filter. I have had him for about four days and he is very active and happy. Yet I have noticed that his back fin is very short and strangly at the end. He was like this when I bought him so didn't think much of it. Then I started reading about fin rot and got worried.

I don't know if he has fin rot or if he was in a fight and is recovering. His fins dont have darker edges, his bottom fin is fine, yet his back fin is short and rigid at the edge. If I treat him for fin rot will it harm him if he is indeed recovering from a past experience? And is there a sure way to tell if he indeed has fin rot?

i have had my rat skitz since last july or so ..and about two weeks ago i got two baby rats both girls ...shitz is a boy....the babys bit me .....it started as nibbling but the bit my knuckels and try to pull my ...and skitz trys to bit me also now and he never did before how do i deal with the babys biting me..none of them have broken the skin but i dont wanna wait till they do...
