Im 13 and my parents said they don't want a dog but I have 2 brothers too. And they said if we got a dog they would take care of him or her! Ok so i think it would be better if the dog was small got along with cats (i have 2) doesnt shed and would like kids a bit more than adults. and is nice witth babies because my nephew comes over all the time.

I have a vet appointment scheduled monday, but in the mean time what to do?

I know it isn't fleas, lice, other guinea pigs (hersheys can hold his own pretty well), and he isn't picking with the spot...
it may be mites but only a vet can be sure. slight dermatitis.

only experienced cavy owners please answer.

What would you do? I love him and he is a great dog. We watched the Gulf War on TV together and even watched desperate housewives. We have been through alot together and he is a true American and supports GWB on the war on the Arabs. Should I put him out of his misery?

My Boston Terrier is suffering from allergies, and it think the vet's meds (antibiotics and anti-inflamatory) may be making it worse, causing him to itch and scratch even more. Is that possible, or would vet meds only help his skin problems?

Ok,My daughters hamster just died yesterday,Today i talked to her about getting another one.We dont want to use the old cage because,well,a dead hamster was in ther and i dont want the other one to get sick.So,we have a fishtank.We were supost to get a fish to put in it,but,it didnt quite work out.So is it ok if i use the fish tank to put the hamster in it?Or shoul di just buy a hamster cage?

My guinea pig was lethargic and has been refusing to eat all day. However after a trip to the vet , who is not a specialised exotic animal vet, who gave her a shot for pain in her tummy and an antiacid, she ate a little .After eating she urinated and excreted. However now after a coupla hours she is a little lethargic again and isnt eating as much as she usually does. Ive given her another dose of antiacid. Will she be ok?

I have a two year old femail cat and my boyfriend and I are moving in together. He has two boyfriend has two 1 year old males. They are finally starting to get along, but she is so depressed. She will not sleep with me, she feels threatened from the boys. Is there anything I can do to make her happy again or will time help her adjust.

We have a dog, he is a loving , gentle soul and we love him to death. We are kinda confused because sometimes he followes me and nudges me or gets on top of me and will follow me like a fly follows cake. He will not leave me alone and will just stare at me. I dont know what he wants, if I'm on the computer he gets under the desk and pushes me away from it. He doesnt always do it to me he has at times done it to everyone in this household. We dont understand it. It seems like there is something wrong he wnts to tell us that only he knows about, but everything to us seems fine. He is a golden retreiver mix and is 8 years old.

I would appreciate only serious answers please.

We were visiting my parents over the weekend and all of a sudden, a cat they'd never seen before started showing up on their porch. This was the most friendly cat I'd ever seen - loved to be picked up and cuddled, came when you called and would climb into your lap, and acted like it wanted to come inside with us. We gave it some cat food and it acted very hungry and it looked skinny, but not starved. My kids fell in love with it (as did I) and I seriously considered bringing it home with us, but wasn't sure if it was a stray because it was so friendly. It may have been someone's pet, an outdoor cat who just happened to make us part of its rounds (they live in a rural area, so this is not uncommon). Bottom line, we didn't bring it home but I can't stop thinking about it - we live 400 miles away, so it's not like we can go back and get it. What would you have done?
