Oh you poor thing. Well, my dog doesn't eat litter but he used to go in and eat the cat's poo. So I think my problem was worse than yours! lol. Between him eating the poo and my cat pawing at his poo and dragging it through the house...I was freaking out. The solution...they grew out of it. All I could do was yell Nooooooooooooo. They finally caught on. My suggestion....move the litter box.

Our dog used to do the same thing. Gross, isn't it? She would snack on the cat's poo every time she got a chance. Good thing it was a closed litter box, so we just turned it. Now the entrance faces the wall. The cat just squeezes in to do her business, while the dog can't get to it any longer. It worked for us, hope it will for you also. Good luck!

I have the same problem...
Take a rubbermaid container and cut a hole in the top big enough for the cat to get through and your dog probably wont go after it. Added bonus less cat litter on the floor.

We have used the clear p[lastic tub with a hole technique too. It really works. The other thing we do is put up a baby gate.

The clear tub with a hole technique is also great for the food dish, since dogs LOVE to eat cat food.

My dogs do this too!! It's SO gross. They actually make a substance you put in your cat's food. Go to Petco and ask about it! It stays in the cat's system and makes their waste undesirable to dogs..
