There are very few dogs that don't shed, as far as the other stuff goes, every dog is different big or small and each have their own personality. Some dogs no matter the size or kind, will not get along with cats, while some will. And the same goes liking for kids.
In a way dogs are like people, they can only get along with so many. Which is where the training comes in, you can find a dog that doesn't shed, but for the other stuff your going to have to train it, because there is just one breed, that can do all those things.

Here's a link to light shedding to no shedding dogs.

First, i am not certain what you suggest by means of utilizing "best outside for roughly a couple of hours." in case you occur to suggest "placed the puppy within the out of doors for a couple of hours" then so much puppies will attempt to tunnel underneath the fence or lose curiosity and dig up the plants or paw on the door. 2nd, all puppies shed, don't allow anyone tell you otherwise. All puppies furnish off dander (vain epidermis). And puppies that could do first-class external (double-protected dogs) will shed hair and dander like there is not any the next day to come. a million/three, so much small dogs are yippy dogs. That's been my enjoy with a yorkie. The three Min-Pins I've identified have all been yappy. Additionally, Min-pins are wise, funny, athletic and really dis-obedient, they as an alternative desire an skilled owner who's conscious of dogs good. A Border Terrier is a small, glad-to-lucky, hardy puppy that does well outside (nevertheless however is not certainly an "external" puppy in terms of "dwelling external commonly"). A Westie performs good, certainly likes people, is convenient to deal with. A rat terrier is a brief-haired puppy that would be very athletic, loves guys and females (it's going to sleep below your covers through your feet all night time time whilst you allow it) and does no longer bark except while strangers come to the apartment.

The very small dogs are yippy (Chihuahuas have the worst record for biting). And also, a baby could easily hurt them, even unintentionally. Most dogs shed - poodles are an exception. As for your cats, if you get a puppy, the cats will teach the puppy who's BOSS (the cats!) :-)

It is good you are giving this some thought! I got my first cat at 11 and it taught me responsibility (she was soooo sick & died). But that's a different story. You are at a great age to get a puppy.

Please don't take your brothers seriously that they will take care of the puppy for long. The ultimate responsibility will be with your parents. Talk to them about this, please.

Breed? Beagles are nice little dogs. Not too big, but not too small & delicate. Someone mentioned Boxers. I grew up with boxers and think they are just *wonderful* childrens' pets, but that was a long time ago. I've heard the more recent Boxers are more agressive than I think of them. Don't know if it's true. They are also a little larger.

My kids grew up with Dobermans, who also have a reputation, but ours were the most wonderful children's dog you could imagine. Our dogs changed a lot of people's minds about the Doberman. Further, as sweet as they were, they protected our kids!

Good luck sweetie! Whatever you get, I hope you just adore it!

First, i'm now not definite what you imply by way of making use of "fine outside for roughly a few hours." in the event you happen to indicate "put the canine in the outside for a number of hours" then most dogs will attempt to tunnel beneath the fence or lose interest and dig up the vegetation or paw at the door. 2nd, all puppies shed, don't let any individual tell you or else. All puppies provide off dander (vain dermis). And puppies that could do sufficient external (double-covered domestic dogs) will shed hair and dander like there isn't any the next day. 1/three, most small pups are yippy domestic dogs. That's been my expertise with a yorkie. The 3 Min-Pins I've known have all been yappy. Moreover, Min-pins are clever, humorous, athletic and very dis-obedient, they as a substitute want an skilled proprietor who's aware of puppies well. A Border Terrier is a small, blissful-to-lucky, hardy dog that does just right external (nonetheless nonetheless isn't in particular an "outside" canine in phrases of "residing outside as a rule"). A Westie plays well, peculiarly likes folks, is handy to deal with. A rat terrier is a brief-haired dog that might be very athletic, loves men and females (it is going to sleep underneath your covers by way of your toes all night time time whilst you let it) and does now not bark besides when strangers come to the house.

First, i'm not sure what you recommend via utilising "remarkable exterior for about some hours." must you recommend "positioned the canines interior the outdoor for some hours" then maximum canines will attempt to tunnel below the fence or exchange into bored and dig up the vegetation or paw on the door. 2d, all canines shed, do no longer enable all and sundry inform you in the different case. All canines grant off dander (ineffective skin). And canines that would desire to do passable exterior (double-coated domestic canines) will shed hair and dander like there is not any day after today. a million/3, maximum small domestic canines are yippy domestic canines. it rather is been my adventure with a yorkie. the three Min-Pins i've got common have all been yappy. additionally, Min-pins are clever, humorous, athletic and extremely dis-obedient, they rather choose an experienced proprietor who's often used with of domestic canines nicely. I have a toy poodle. I got him when my daughter was 4yo (now 11). He was very easy to house break, very intelligent and a quick learner when it came to obedience. He only weighs 9lbs, and gets along great with all my friends and family. He doesn't shed, he does tend to bark a lot when he hears noises outside or if he hears another dog barking, but I kind of like the notice that someone/something is approaching, ya know?!

My Gizmo loves to play outside. He fetches a tennis ball quite well. And happily brings it back waiting for you to throw it again. He likes to swim, also! Sometimes I don't know where all the energy comes from.

They do require grooming, but I don't do the "poodle cut". My groomer charges $30 for services, and he goes about every 5-6 weeks. Being a smaller dog, the food bills aren't so high either.

Check out the AKC webite for more breed specific info.

A mini schnoodle. They are a cross between a toy poodle and a mini schnauzer. They dont shed, are very smart, and are mild in activity level. Do a little research on them and you will see for yourelf how wonderfull this breed can be.
(I am 13 too. I am trying to convince my parents to get me a dog. I have done tons of research and this is the breed I find the best.)

Hi,

what you are looking for is a Poodle

REALLY Smart, doesn't shed and comes in different sizes.

You don't have to get the "show cut" - just normal cut to keep them lookign good.

They are easy to house train and well behaved and loyal; if you traing them "right" they love everyone and are very gentil

I have had a lot of different dogs and had one and would not think of getting any other dog than them.

Some small dogs dont like kids because they can be rough, and accidently hurt or annoy the dog. If you want one, weener dogs are cute. They have short hair, and dont usually shed alot.
