Just wondering,a while back the vet said ringworm and I am still treating my Bochon(1yr. old) for it. He hasn't been around any other animals, totally an inside dog,so where is he getting it?The solution I have been putting on him is not working this time. Can someone tell me why he is getting it back again & again?
Also a friend mentioned it might be the mange, what is this and how do they get it,how is it treated?
Is it similar to ringworm?
Thanks in advance:))

I've been raising, breaking, and training horses for quite some time, just wondering who else is on here that trains... if so... what disciplines? I do Western/English Pleasure as well as Dressage and Carriage Driving. I also jump but I don't train jumpers or hunters I just show my semi-finished jumper mare.

I got this from http://www.aspca.org

On June 29, the ASPCA received a complaint of a dead rooster near the West 213th Street residence of Humberto Rodriguez. Upon visiting the scene, our Humane Law Enforcement agents found a beheaded adult rooster on Rodriguez’s fire escape. Agents brought the rooster to the ASPCA’s Bergh Memorial Animal Hospital for examination, where veterinarians determined that the bird also suffered from two broken wings.

Following further investigation, on July 28 ASPCA Special Agent Joseph Lemos arrested Rodriguez near his residence for biting the head off of his pet rooster. The 54-year-old Manhattan man has been charged with one count of animal cruelty, which is punishable by up to one year in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.

Really mean and sick, isn't it?

My Dog Died A Couple Days ago, I was pretty upset. and I was talking to my friend on "habbo hotel" and this girl I don't know came up to us and said "haha I'm glad your F******* dog is dead, I hope he rots in hell"

the conversation went something like this

Girl: "haha I'm glad your F******* dog is dead, I hope he rots in hell"

Friend: "hey lay off, shes having a hard time."

Girl: "oh go eat the rotting dog"

at that point we left the room, but that girl followed us and kept on being a jerk.

I decided to go offline and call my friend on the phone instead, I started crying because of what that girl said, and I won't ever forget it.

seriously, how can a person be so rude?! That girl didn't even know me, or my dog. why are people so mean?

Any ideas what this could be? Any at home treatments? I don't really have the money to take him to a Vet. I took him recently because he was limping and spent $200 for x-rays and the visit only to be told he had an inflammation in his paw. Has anyone had a dog that has a soft tissue lump on his elbow ? Can you tell me what it could be? (Serious Answers Only Please!!!)

I've lost my hippo, she escaped from the back garden, through the fence over a wall and onto the high street.
The only reason why i know she went this way is cause the neighbours car is squashed.
She,s wearin a pink tutu 2 sizes to small or she was until i found it hangin from a tree.
She has a identification tag around her left ankle with the name dotty on it.
She may very well be headin for the sauna as she said that she needs to lose 20 pounds either that or newlook.
Has anyone seen her or the devastation left afterwards, please help im goin out of my mind, she's only a baby and not very street smart i just don't want her to get into trouble or mugged.
If anyone can help find my fat hippo please answer!

She does that w/ pooing, and with peeing she pees on the edge of the box, usually half in the box half on the floor....we got her from a shelter, I know she was taken away from her previous owner because she wasn't being taken care of. Anyone have any suggestions, I've taken her to the vet, the vets response is "thats strange"

Over the past few weeks I've noticed my 4 year old tortoise shell cat (female) occasionaly reaching and making a coughing noise, but she is never sick. Recently this then developed into what appears to be constipation. She is still drinking water, but when she eats her dry food, she chews it up, but most of it ends up in the bowl. When I watch her eat, you can see this reaching motion like she's about to be sick, but she continues trying to eat and seems very hungry.

My concern now is the vet has eliminated constipation, and taken some x-ray's but they can't find anything wrong. Could it be a long hair tangled in her thoat? Would an x-ray show this? She's now lost weight, but still tries to eat and I don't know what else to do.

The vet has now put her on anti-biotics, but I'm not sure if this is going to work.

We just moved to the country, so the cats are going crazy catching mice. I can't stand finding them lying throughout the house. I have a 1 year old and am very nervous that he'll find the mice before me!

i know its kind of cruel to have a cat declawed, but if his scratching post and other things arent working its my only choice, i was curious to see if he will act differently afterwards, like be alot calmer? he's only a little over 3 months and the shelter had him neutered at a young age so he's already a little calmer then he was im sure, any advice? I cant have him clawing up the carpet, tv speakers and couch...all things we'll end up paying for in the end.

and he wasn't playing. He's a little Jack Russell, he is not your average Jack Russell, he usually doesn't bark, and he is usually so loving, he loves to give people kisses.
However, lately a friend of mine moved into my 1 bedroom, tepmorarily until we move into our 2 bedroom flat, and she brought her cat.
Now my problem is I got up this morning and everything was fine I was petting my dog, going to get ready for work, and he crawled back under the covers with my friend, I came back into the room and he growled at me, just low growls, I told him to be quite, and when I walked closer to the bed he got out from under the sheets, and beared his teeth and started barking, when I told him to be quiet (and yes sternly) and I advanced he advanced on me, I stood my ground, and had my friend take hold of him, and then I grabbed him and put him in his cage, but I do not know what would have caused this. Could he be stressed out because of the living arrangements, or has something happened
