im sorry but a true parrotfish is saltwater. there is also a hybrid fish in freshwater called a parrot cichlid but it has to be created through mixing two different south american cichlids.

Yup, oldwise one is right. Saltwater parrotfish have beaks like parrots to eat coral and stuff off the rocks, I've seen them every where I've ever gone snorkeling lol they're all over. The freshwater parrotfish is actulley a type of cichlid.
