He is still alive but he has been like this for 7 days. He still is eating and tries to swim but he just floats back up. His stomache is not anymore bloated then ussual. What is this and can I fix it? We have had this fish for 3 years now. And my daughter has grown attached to him. He is a fancytail goldfish.

Any good tips on getting her interested?

My 1 year old lionhead rabbit lives in her hutch which also has a run. In there she has hanging toys with carrots on it etc for her to pick at, she has her own food and veggies, she also has a wooden bridge, carrot toy and wooden toy.
She also gets out alot in the back garden which is enclosed, so she is able to run free.
We have found lately that she is ripping the newspapers underneath the straw in her hutch! like she is making a total mess! She did this before she was neutered because she was making a bed, because she thought she was pregnant so this isn't the cause this time. Could she be bored? We recently bought a new hutch BUT it is the same size as the old including the run part. Please help what do you think?

( I also give her a lot of attention, she also lives with guinea pig who she likes so is not lonely)

I know I could just remove the newspapers but I need them underneath to soak up the pee, I mean what else can I use they are so handy!

I wouldn't think it would really matter to the cat if their food is orange, red and yellow. My cats get furballs and the dyes from the food stain my carpet!!

He carries it around the house crying; seems to love this toy. Its dirty from years of loving, dragging around, etc. Will he hate it if it doesn't smell the same-clean instead of whatever it smells like now to him?

I need to transport my Boa constrictor to its new home. I will be travelling by bus and the journey takes about 4 hours. The snake is 4 1/2 ft long. How would you reccomend transporting him?
Is there any precautions I should take to ensure he doesn't get too cold/hot? Should I keep him in a pillow case/ cardboard box/ pet carrier. Anyon e with experience doing this?

We have a 50 gal. pond sitting on our mostly shaded back deck with 3 baby Koi. They don't appear to be swimming alot. Are they shocked? What would cause this behavior? We thought that at least one was dying but always swims to the bottom when we approach the pond. The pond is filtered and airated with one water Hyacynth and a potted mini water Iris. Is this a problem for the fish?

I've been told its bad to constantly be switching your cats brand of food becuase its supposed irritate their stomach and possibly make them sick. I buy a different brand everytime I need to buy a new bag of dry food for my cat and he's never gotten sick. Anyone else heard this? Anyone know if it's actually a bad idea?

Yes, that's right...power cords. My cell phone charger, my lamp cord, computer printer cord...grandma's oxygen hose.

This puppy was abandoned in my yard 3 weeks ago, and we went ahead and kept her after no one called to claim her after a week. We know this is temporary...but...

I've done everything I can remember (hot sauce on visible cords, making noises when I see her doing it, etc), but I can't remember how I broke my Miniature Schnauzer from chewing to help this new puppy quit chewing.

I tend to think I just bought a boat load of chewies and chew toys...but that sounds too easy...haha
Help, PLEASE!!! haha

I have a part of my marine aquarium separated by mesh, for a refugium area. Peaceful fish in the main part of it. Where should I put my new feather dusters?

I don't want to use poison because of my dogs.
The rats totally ignore traps. I was wondering if those ultrasonic devices work.
Help! There has to be a way, besides praying for the Pied Piper to appear at my door.
Help!, again.

This debate has been going on amongst my family and friends for a while now.

It is my understanding cats and dogs do not have sweat glands all over surface of their skin like humans do which is why they don't perspire in summer like we do. They sweat by panting since their sweat glands are primarily located on/near their tongue (I think cats also have sweat glands on the pads of their feet, but I'm not sure about that).

So is there any point to leave a fan running when all the humans have left the house (other than running up my electric bill)? When I've left the fans on all day while I'm away at work, the cats aren't laying in front of them when I come home anyway. Besides, I don't think the house stays any cooler if I leave the fans on all day than if I leave them off.

I have a 2 year old Labrador Retriever. It's pregnant now and I think it might be time that it's going to give birth.

Anyone here who has a Lab which gave birth before? How many pups did you get for the first time it gave birth? Was it difficult for it? How did you handle it?

Please let me know your experience... Thanks!!

I woke up this morning to find my dog crying, something seems to be wrong with her rear or upper back leg. This has happened before, but when we took her to the vet, nothing was wrong with her...the dr. just gave her something and sent her home. Can I just give her Ibuprofen for the pain? I've been reading, and everything I find says not to give dogs asprin. She's a german shepherd/beagle mix...so if I can give her anything, how much? She's about 45 pounds. Any suggestions?

I hope to prepare an environment for my Grammastola Rosa or Rosehair tarantula, that includes plants and soil that are comparable to His Native land Chile. So far i am having trouble finding information on the vegetation of Chile (expecially the vegetation found in his habitat). Help would be appreciated.
