There is nothing anyone can say or do that will help you unfortunately . I can tell you this. I have been there and I still miss my pets that I lost when I was a child, especially my first one. Its actually gut wrenching and tears you up. Most people would laugh because they don't understand. But its like losing a human companion. They love us no matter what and you can't say that about most humans. (Only true animal lovers know) !! Just try to stay busy and keep your mind off of your precious little dog and know others have been there too and my heart does go out to you.........It will get better on you as time passes, but time will eventually make things a little better.......God Bless!!!!!

You don't say how long you had Whiskers, but the loss of any close friend, especially in an accident that didn't have to happen, is difficult. You need to mourn the loss, but you also need to understand that death is a part of living, and the living need to get on with life.
Start looking for another dog. You will find one, not to replace Whiskers, but to take over Whisker's role of being there for you, and you to be there for the new dog. I'm sure the new dog will be happy to find you.

Sorry about your dog.
It is sad when you lose a pet but think of the fun times you had with him. Don't ever forget or replace your love for him. I might help if you talk to some of your friends. They might say a thing or two that might help. You might not be able to replace him but you can always give another dog a chance. It might make you a little happier! Plus look at it this way...if you get a new dog than you just saved a life!! Think about it.
good Luck and sorry again!!!!!

I lost my dog, spot to an other dog who led him in the road. I just kept my head high and cryed every night. I got a new dog. Zoey, a black lab to help me get over it. I try to stay busy. Just, get another dog in a few weeks. A puppy. Trust me, it WILL keep you busy.
SO SORRY
I wish i could see spot one more time, I had a dream that he was back alive, hate those dreams, but alteast you were not a 6th grader when your dog died. And there was a evil, two or no three, no four evil boys who did motions of your dog getting hit by a car, and doing yelping sounds. and also laughing at you. And alteast the only reason your dog died was not because someone was jealous that you had a better dog than them and killed it. Losing a dog or any animal is hard, trust me i know, i've lost four very important dogs , one becasue the onwer was to chicken to tell us the dog was sick when she gave it to us. spot, sarge led him in the road. Maggie and Shadow, jealousley. Sorry, i should not complain, im sorry. Just, calm down, and wait try to get another dog, Whiskers jr.
good luck

I feel extremely sorry for this irreparable loss & tragedy. Accepting the truth is difficult coz u 've lost a precious attention seeker at the hands of a careless drunkard. Curse him.But life must go on. If the dog had a special place in your heart then prove it by bringing the guilty to book & promise yourself u wont adopt any other pet.

I'm really sorry to hear that, that's really hard. Yet we all go through that at one point or another and the best thing to do is remember what a great dog you had. You don't have to think another dog will replace him, but you can get a new pet or dog who will never replace him but can be your friend to. I hope you feel better and I'm sure your friend is in heaven.
God Bless ⥠you and your buddy

The best cure for losing a pet is to get another one. Not as a replacement, they can't be replaced, but to distract you from how sad you are. Trust me you can't be sad around a dog, they cheer you right up. And remember, Whiskers would hate it that you are sad for any reason, much less over him. So, remember him fondly and try not to be sad.

Everyone has their own way of coping. Spend time with someone who won't mind if you suddenly get depressed, and who will help try to cheer you up. I know how this feels, I lost my best friend (Rachel - rat) to cancer. It was real hard, and I was glad I had other animals to keep myself occupied and remind me that I'm still needed, so I cannot sit around and mope.

Get a puppy, and slash the offender's tires once a year for the next five years, and put sugar in his gas tank
