I have a four month old Jack Russel and I've been trying to train her to go outside to potty.Shes very stubborn. I take her out to potty but she won't potty outside, she waits until she comes back inside. I have those training pads to train her with, and she uses them most of the time.Any suggestions?

Beside leash laws I mean. Would all the "let the cat be an outdoor cat" people let their dogs do the same thing if they could? Seems driver's would notice dogs more and dogs could defend themselves against dangerous animals better. Is it that people care about dogs more or that cat's are smarter? In case you missed it I did say beside the law lol.

Every time I leave the house, my dog goes over to my cat's litter box and eats the crap in it. That is really sick. Is there any way I can get him to stop this?

In Korea they eat dogs and in many parts of the world, even the United States. I own a Chihuahua and in Korea she would make a great appetizer…don’t worry I am not planning on eating my dog, she is safe!

I had a wierd experience the other day when brushing my long-hair cat, He didn't like it and meowed his complaint. I need to brush him almost daily because he sheds like crazy and he used to have a hairball problem. I spoke authoritatively to him and he looked me straight in the eyes and would not avert his gaze for more than 30 seconds. I know that, with animals, the first one to avert his eyes is the one who loses control. I remained locked in this gaze until I finally said something like, "what is your problem?". At that point he looked away and allowed me to continue brushing for a few seconds before he squirmed out of my arms. The thing is, looking into his eyes, I sensed meanness that I never noticed before. Also, if he gets out of the house and confronts another cat, he is wildly aggessive. Under normal circumstances he appears sweet and aloof. Any other cat owners have similar stories? What is your take on mine?

Ok so my friend's husband has abused her cat a few times, and is now "scaring the cat for kicks". He has never shown any other signs of abuse toward people, kids, or even other animals for that matter. In fact he has a dog that he adores.

My friend loves her cat more than most people love their animals, ie... she's always talking about the cat, the cat comes first before things most people wouldn't put before animals. Although she has never put the cat before her husband.

Should she be scared? I always read that people who harm animals have deep psychological problems. Should she separate from him - he keeps saying he'll stop, but he continues to do it, than will lie to her about it. She finds out bc of her cat's behavior - acting finicky and scared.

Also any ideas why he has this sort of behavior. He had a healthy home life growing up. Maybe he's just jealous of the cat?

What are your thoughts?

why im asking. my dog was with a female. he was mating with her but not actually staying in position with her for a long period of time. they didn't connect and stay that way. do they actually have to connect and stay in that position for a certain amount of time? or can they be together for short periods and no full connection?

Could they attack thinking their owners were endangered by other people close by? Many owners attest their dogs are friendly and love people but when they growl and bark when meeting others on trails, it is unnerving especially when they react by saying, he or she wouldn't hurt a fly.
