Vets usually charge by the pound. The cheapest way is to find your local PAWS group. They will find the cheapest way for you.

Depends on the weight of the dog, the age, and the clinic. Remember to ask what the cost includes. If there is a clinic that charges a really low fee compared to other clinics in the area, you may not be getting the whole story.

Also, some of the cost may be different depending on the facilities and staff of the clinic. A good clinic will have a licensed veterinary technician to monitor anesthesia, good monitoring equipment, and will recommend pain medication to go home.

If it is a young dog, that is not in heat, and that doesn't have problems, it should be anywhere from $150 -$250, depending on the clinic, the dog's weight, and any medication sent home. Find a reputable place and get a written estimate. All good clinics provide written estimates with a breakdown of the charges.

Thank you for spaying your dog! She thanks you too!

I had my 4 month old girl rotti spayed and it cost me about $300. I got the works though, lol. I wanted everything done right.

Call around some vets and see how much they charge. It also cost more to get a female done than a male.

at my vet clinic in canada it's like 180 or so dollars. but if you have an spca hospital like they do in vancouver it can be done for much cheaper (but they book months in advance) also there are usually clinics which offer low low rates but keep in mind you do get what you pay for in the veterinary field.
