I believe you can but it your state or city might have a problem with it. Check with your local authorities and check out the website below. It tells all about haveing them as pets.

Foxes are restless creatures,they really do fair better in the wild. and if bitten by one you could get rabies. There are cute little doggies that look like a fox, I think one is called a fox terrier. however theres a possibility that in some States one might be able to legally own a fox as pet. I`m not sure.

Most people have fennec foxes as pets. Fennec foxes are small and sometimes can be very sweet if raised well, if you plan to get a fox get a wild life permit that shows you can legally own one. Getting them fixed helps calm them down too.
