Iran's president has said that there is no legal basis for more sanctions against Tehran after a US intelligence report concluded that it stopped trying to build a nuclear bomb four years ago.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's comments on Tuesday came as the US, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany met to discuss a new UN resolution punishing Iran.
"We think that any such measure has lost its legal basis," Ahmadinejad said.
"We had two rounds of sanctions and what happened? Nothing," he said in a two-hour news conference. "Now is the time for them to change their behaviour."

should there be more sanctions on Iran, if so Why???

We've seen thousands of products from lead paint to fish come out of China and cause health issues in the US. Is this a purposeful attack on our health, just a lack of care or responsibility, or an "innocent" mistake. Also what should be done about it? My personal feeling is ban products from those plants until they improve their safety record for at least one calendar year. Thoughts?

economy in U.S. from deteriorating further?

It's always been said that there needs to be war in order for the economy to pick up. Being economy and job growth pretty good until now in which everything, including the dollar (and never mind WALL STREET), is just slipping and falling very fast, how long can the U.S. stay away from declaring war on IRAN?

I suppose it must be IRAN, because VENEZUELA, although very rich in OIL, and even though Chavez threatens to take it away at slightest of provokations, it's not large or powerful enough to be considered a worthy enemy to combat for a long time.

I've been hearing on the news that the barmy beurocrats who are in charge of the Ambulance Service, have now come up with another brainwave that they claim will 'improve' the service to the public.

Apparently they have now decided that it would be better for all of us, to have lots more individual Paramedics working alone and driving round in small cars with basic emergency equipment. They would be dispatched to emergency calls to provide emergency treatment and to assess the possible need for more complex equipment and/or transport of the patient to an appropriate A & E Unit.

This is supposed to be about maintaining or improving response times, and nothing to do with cost savings, and we the public are supposed to believe that!

What total claptrap!

The beurocrats claim that it will allow for more efficient use of staff and resources, but it is simply going to delay hospital treatment for those needing it, and will make staff working conditions even worse than they are!

this ambition is part of the so-called New American Century.
I wondered how people feel about this. Should the US be congratulated for having a goal in life, or should it keep its nose out of other countries and try to get its own house in order?

I know it gets under the skin of everyone and nobody wants to hear about it. Just for a moment imagine, odds are 100 trillion to 1 lets say, if and only if, there was a US government involvement on 9-11 - and imagine they admitted involvement, what would your reaction be? and what would you want to be done about it?

Adam & 17pdr are the same person?

This is an easy one.

You answer a question asked by 17pdr and then go back to check on that answer and the id has been changed to Adam with Adams avatar.

He's a cheeky monkey who has denied this all along and I now have the evidence in my answer history lol

Not that I saw him but Jesus, and the rest of us rejoiced when the Berlin Wall came down. Now if Jesus were to visit Bethlehem, (with his lonely planet guide to divided Bethlehem) today, in his Mitsubishi Warrior L200, not as a carpenter but as a "bricky" and started to tear down the wall that separates Palestinians and their homeland and Christians from visiting his birthplace. Would Jesus be stopped and arrested by the IDF - the Israel Defence Force in their Toyota Hiluxii 2.9TDs ?

2 Questions
Would Jesus be stopped by the IDF or would he have Jedi like powers to carry on taking the wall down.... Would you form a barrier around Jesus to stop him being arrested?

Whats better in this sort of terrain, a Mitsubishi Warrior L200
or a Toyota Hilux 2.9 Turbo diesel?
