Iran's president has said that there is no legal basis for more sanctions against Tehran after a US intelligence report concluded that it stopped trying to build a nuclear bomb four years ago.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's comments on Tuesday came as the US, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany met to discuss a new UN resolution punishing Iran.
"We think that any such measure has lost its legal basis," Ahmadinejad said.
"We had two rounds of sanctions and what happened? Nothing," he said in a two-hour news conference. "Now is the time for them to change their behaviour."

No. If they've found that they've stopped the nuke programme then where the hell is the justification? This is gonna turn out to be iraq all over again. An imagined enemy is a powerful tool to control society...and it seems America is using it effectively. What twats.

Iran has the flexibility to end sanctions being imposed by working an open nuclear skill facility. no person is attempting to stay faraway from them having nuclear skill, if certainty, fairly some worldwide places have provided to help. Iran by continuing to pursue this direction is leaving the UN with out strategies distinctive than sanctions. sure the persons will pass with the aid of situation regardless of if it would be now no longer something in assessment to the situation that should be brought about around the middle East in the event that they have been allowed to proceed.

No more sanctions, not the right approach as it doesn't help solve the problems. Who knows, the reformists might regain power so it's not wise to make Iran the pariah, the only problem then is the Supreme Leader, and that is a problem fot the Iranians to sort out. I have doubts that Ahmadinejad will remain popular.

Mahmoud is the man who denies the holocaust yet wants to remove Israel from the page of time. I don't see him speaking in good faith. Perhaps his conscience is clear because of the doctrine of taqiya.
And he does support terrorists (not freedom fighters) in Iraq.
I don't trust his words or his intentions.

No. Its time for a few strategically placed bunker busters. Its just time to give the "rat" some rat poison.

well he would wouldn't he.....?

he should take his own advice and change his behaviour - he could start by stopping the funding and encouragement of terrorist organisations

he could start by stopping promoting hatred and threatening genocide of another people in the middle east
