In the papers today we have a case of a prisoner who was released early from prison only to kill his Girlfriend days later.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=501317&in_page_id=1770&ct=5

The man had previously served 5 ..... yes 5 .... jail terms before he was put in jail for attacking his girlfriend. However before that sentence was due to finish, he was released early due to overcrowding issues.

He then killed his girlfriend by beating her up so badly her own mother barely recognised her.

Now my question is this.

The man had served 5 jail terms. They had only been together for 10 months in which time the girlfriend called the police 5 times about his violence. He was then eventually jailed for that violence, but upon his release he moves straight back in with her.

I've read people on here put others down for the paper they quote as though their info source has a monopoly on the truth.

Which do you trust and which do you think are rubbish?

You keep hear her banging on about her husband, how she couldnt live without him. How she mentions him in every show she does because she's so upset about him being in prison.

Then she has the nerve to be upset because she is turned away again from the prison for turning up late.

If youre so enamoured with your husband who's in prison, you make sure you allow plenty of time to get to the prison so that you can spend every moment with him. For her to have turned up late multiple times for her visits says it all about how much she cares about her husband.

The girl is full of c**p. And for those who say she is a brilliant talent. The girl can sing. Thats it. Apart from that, she is also good at fuelling crime by funding the drug lords with paying for overpriced cocaine to shove up her nose and shes also good at setting bad examples for other young children. What else is she contributing to society? Not bloody much.

I like this quote from the article:

"The McCanns will be particularly disappointed at reports that Jose Manuel Pacheco, the Roman Catholic priest who befriended them, has ordered every trace of the Madeleine appeal removed from his church of Our Lady of the Light.

Friends of Fr Pacheco said he could no longer bear to discuss the case.

"He says it is an extremely unpleasant situation and the McCann family only ever brought him problems.

"He even told one friend they ruined his life.

"There are two completely different Pachecos, the one before the McCanns and this shell of a man after the McCanns. He is a nervous wreck."

.... Seems it wasnt just only Madeleine's life that the McCanns destroyed. Still they'll have a nice Xmas with their 2 children and not the loud, outspoken Madeleine who apparently could be 'very naughty' according to Kate.

This question is not meant to offensive. I just read school children were shot today in a school bus, yesterday I read about 2 church shootings, the day before that I read about the mall shootings. Sometime before that I read about college shootings. Why is does this happen so often? Why is there a lack of gun control if clearly guns usage is a problem.

Another bombing in the Muslim world! Why don't they just make bombs illegal so nobody will have them? Oh, wait, they ARE illegal. So why do people think that making guns illegal will work any better as law abiding citizens aren't the ones abusing them?

It seems to me that it would be easy to perform an investigation, starting at the top, until you find out who ordered it and who actually did it and when. Then all the people involved in ordering the dirty deed, the people who actually destroyed the evidence, the people who covered it up, and last but not least the people who actually ordered and performed the torture are OUTED and FIRED.

The globalist neocons running the Bush administration saw that a perceived unjustified attack on Iran threatened to arouse a major rebellion among Americans that could potentially and radically alter who America would choose in the upcoming presidential primaries. The PTB see this period leading up to the primaries, as a period when their abilities to manipulate public opinion toward their favored globalist candidates (Giuliani and Clinton) are most at risk of failure. An Iran attack would have exacerbated that risk.

First, the public wasn't buying the justifications. They'd had too much of that in Iraq. Second, increasingly, huge numbers of thinking men and women in the military were becoming critical of this warmongering agenda and actively expressing those opinions on the internet (and donating to Ron Paul's campaign). Even normally supportive yesman Generals in the various services were balking and there was a not-so-minor revolt brewing in the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Third, the surge in support of Ron Paul has them worried, even though they are still confident they can deny him the nomination. They fear that the one way to guarantee an even higher level of support for Paul is to attack Iran, which would have proved Ron Paul right: The price of oil would go shooting up toward $200 a barrel, the public deficit would become even more astronomical, and more hatred against America would result.

Nevertheless, the attack is merely postponed, not cancelled. It could be a short postponement trying to get past this presidential primary or they could wait for the ultimate war scenario, in the next decade. The specter of Iran's nuclear weapons program can be resurrected as quickly as the NIE put it to rest. Worse, no new NIE will have to justify Iran's weapon's culpability--which was already established by presumption in this latest edition. All they will have to claim is that the weapons program "has been restarted", or worse, that "Iran never did shut it down" Intel of this sort is easy to create when you have access to black operations worldwide.

At the beginning of this school year, everyone was talking about Darfur. Now it is hard to find a story about that region of the world. Even at presidential debates where there used to be a few questions about Darfur, there are now none. Why has America (or the rest of the world) shifted it's focus away from the millions of refugees?

For some reason, the Instant Karma CD seemed to mark the end of the campaign Darfur...at least to me.

Anyone disagree?

What is Waterboarding?
The water board technique dates back to the 1500s during the Italian Inquisition. A prisoner, who is bound and gagged, has water poured over him to make him think he is about to drown.
http://southdakotapolitics.blogs.com/south_dakota_politics/images/2007/07/20/waterboarding.jpg

Waterboarding described:
http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/Investigation/story?id=1356870

The debate is that it's a form of "interrogitation" that might be classified as torture...but it works to prevent the inevitible loss of (American/Western/Military) life.

Top CIA officers continue to defend Waterboarding as an important tool in their armory against terrorists who "do not respect" the rules of war.

Hey, "War is Hell" and "all's fair"....just ask any Al Qaeda terrorist who can't wait to cut off your head while shouting "God is Great!"

What say you?

Iraq is a strategic area with lots of oil and an easy govt to topple. This sounds like a more realistic reason to go to war rather than the possible WMD threat. Question, why dosen't the media consider this topic.

There was another one today. Somebody shot highschoolers getting off a bus. What is causing so many of these shooting sprees in such a short period of time? People in Europe are quick to blame our right to bear arms, but here in the States we know that we have had that right for over 200 years, and have never seen anything quite like this.

Specifically, I am talking about the last 10 years or so.

A serious question for evry one. We need to stop using gas and oil. I hate spending $3.00 a galon for it, just like everyone else does. However, in Germany last I knew, when I was there a year ago, it was 1.35/liter. There are about Four liters in a gal. That is 5.40 Euros a gallon.
What should and what can be done to get rid of the need for gas completely? Canidates for President in the US are saying they want to eliminate the need for forrign oil in 20 years. Well, I don't want to wait that long! We need to get rid of the need for oil period! Now! Not in 20 years!
We don't just need to eliminate the need for forrign oil, but ALL oil, forrign and domestic!
When I was a young kid, I had a toy car that ran on Water! It was called a "Gas Guzzler" That was in the 80's. Here it is over 20 years later and that was a toy in the 80's, now you would think, they would be doing some thing like that for real cars.
BTW: When Bush took office, Gas was $1.46! I blame him!

We found out today that the security guard who shot the gunman that attaked the New Life Church did not kill him, he killed himself. But several things bothered me about the story.

1. The fact that it has gotten to the point where a church requires not just security but armed securit.

2. The security guard thanked God. Though she did not kill him, she did indeed, save lives and she is clearly a hero, but how sad is it that one even has to be put in that position, to kill a person in a Church.

I am not blaming her at all. She was put in this position by Matthew Murray.

What are your thoughts on this?
