I would and wonder what others have to say. I think most people would and find it hypocritical to criticize John Edwards for the same thing.

If I earned a million dollars, First of all I could be greedy and choose to look down at anyone who hadn't. But that is not what I am about, it took a lot people to help me get to where I am today. Some of them are dead, and there are always things that I wish I shouldh've done, but I never got the chance to. I am very sorry for that. So in the alternative, there are still a lot of people who continue to support me in ways that I really appreciate, there is no substitute in the world for putting a big smile on someone you care about, or seeing them cry wads of happy tears..........Just being Myself, I guess...Paul

Edwards is a hypocrite because he is very vocal about the environment, energy conservation and sustainability. Owning a big mansion is counter to those views.

Personally, I would buy several "very nice" small houses in several locations that I love. The amount of energy it takes to heat a mansion full of rooms that are never used is insane.

I don't think I would spend my money building a prison. My uncle robbed a bank and spent 15 years in the big house. I would spend my money on a big boat and lots of women all kinds of women. Thank you.

Only as big as I would use . I wouldn't want empty rooms being vacant always. but would love a house big enough for my guest and family to be self contained. Wouldn't that be lovely and meet up with them in the pool spa garden area.and dining lounge area for dinner.

and if it were a 'big' house than so be it.

it's MY money
that I earned

do what you want. You shouldn't have to justify your reasons and no one should judge you because it is YOUR life and what you do with it is up to you.

Hello Micheal B,

Yes, I will build a... "mansion".

...as for John Edwards building a big house...no criticism from me...best idea he ever had...(I believe he may be on his way to "conservative enlightenment")

ps don't worry about what "other people think". The best way to eliminate poverty is to increase your own personal wealth.
