I know, but when we put an Xmas compilation on when we dressed the tree, I found myself singing along, I asked my partner to look on the case to see who sung it, as I had forgotten. When he said Gary Glitter I was shocked at how much I had enjoyed it. Its actually a good song!

The song itself certainly gets the old toes tapping as to the morality of playing this song, I guess its a personal thing, I am sure a lot of Gary Glitter fans feel so let down by him, a work colleague of mine used to go to all of his Christmas shows and said they were fantastic, how she must feel about him now heaven only knows. People now must wonder about a lot of the lyrics of his songs!

The song is fine but I assume the pervert still collects royalties or whatever on it, and I don't like supporting bad guys with my money, so maybe not.
Did anybody else do this song?
Did he write the song? If so, he'll still get money for it, I think.

Did he write the song? but I can see why your asking because of the last line of the song but I think the fact he has been doing what he's being doing should stop people playing his songs not the lyrics.

Ummm.. is there anything suggestive in the actual lyrics of the song?

Ok well as long as the lyrics are okay... kids don't know the story behind the singer.

As for "Christmas" vs. "holidays"...
Eat my shorts.

Sure. Long as no copyrights are violated and the video is in good taste, I don't see a problem.

Gary Glitter ain't Elvis, though, much as he might like to be.

I find no problem with the idea of playing the song.

Don't worry about it. Elvis was the one who corrupted the minds of our youth. Sorry. It was the Beatles who turned our youth against their parents. Sorry. It was Madonna who made all the girls whores. Damn Rock and Roll. Who do we blame now? It can't be the parents.
