My neighbour has decided to switch his mechanical santa on in the kitchen. I think it may be a clock cos every 15 minutes it flutes out an out of tune Christmas song.

What shall I do? Break in and smash it to smitereens or grin and bear it?

bad press ,well here are a couple of decent lads showing the other side of the coin don't you think?
A good deed cost two teenagers their lives, friends said last night.Shaun Barnes and Luther Storr, both 17, had been on a nightout when they saw a friend's sister being attacked by bullies. They stepped in to rescue 14-year-old Ruby Pateman and see her off safely on the last train from King's Lynn, Norfolk. But the delay meant the Good Samaritans missed a promised lift home and, with no more trains running, they faced a six-mile walk.
They chose the most direct route – along the railway line. But the friends never arrived in the Norfolk village of Watlington
The following morning, their bodies were spotted by a train driver about two miles short of their destination. They are believed to have been hit by a high-speed train which would have come on them from behind.
The tragedy has devastated friends and relatives. My thoughts are with their families who should be very proud of them

This is appalling news. I have just had a little google for news on missing Madeleine and all I can find is "mayor blames parents" "negligent" "they are to blame" "they did wrong" "all posters of Madeleine removed" - This is the most disturbing.

WHY? Why are people prepared to just abandon the search for this little girl? HOW can people forget Madeleine and just shrug their shoulders and turn away?

Madeleine is MISSING and needs to be found. Not forgotten.
YES Her parents made a mistake to leave her, but does that justify everyone else, leaving her?

It's very very sad.

I think Nurses should get paid most (most have a degree), police second (most don't have a degree, and it's not really as dangerous as they like to claim).

Teachers least because they are just bouncers nowadays.

I don't get it, why should we show respect to the way the U.S. goverment sends these guys out to Iraq for no apperent reason. They said they had nuclear weapons... So what so do we... Why does the USA have to stick there nose in everyones business, tell those other countries what they can and can't do. When it's really none of our business... You know if these soilders wanted respect don't you think they would just not join. We wouldn't need anyone protecting our country if this country wasn't such a bully.

I mean these poor guys are dying over there and why? Because there fighting a war that is not needed. Were not protecting out country... Were bullying someone elses country...

What do you people think?
Do you think I'm wrong...?

I mean I'm so sick of hearing people that are heros are the people fighting in the miltary.

Those people are not heros. There just getting bullied by the goverment to go fight stupid wars. I mean it's ridiculous.

China sure seems to cry alot about past atrocities. The rape of Nanking, WW2 They are such poor victims. I guess they forgot about the time they invaded tibet and massacred all those blood thirsty buddhists, and about the time they invaded korea with the communist forces, and about how they still execute Christians like Nero were the president, and about how they execute more people than all other governments combined, and about how they use their own people like coal to fuel growth. China is so emotionally crushed, they must have forgotten all those things.

Our legislators just awarded... the 'leaders'.... another 70 BILLION to continue the ongoing massacres in Iraq?

BUT this horribly wronged vet - must accept and be content with less than $1000 for the injustices done to him . . . from WW II????

http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/12/12/soldier.back.pay/index.html

Despicable - our leaders, our armed forces, and the whole of the USA public - who does NOT stand up - and scream. . . to END this debacle. . . and compensate this VET his fair due.

In case you aren't familiar with the story, this took place in Houston. Horn is defending himself saying he was protecting his neighbor's property as well as their neighborhood. Many people here in Texas are saying he should not be charged.

Here's a link to the article in the Houston Chronicle:

This bear walks into a bar. Then he sits down and orders a beer.

The bartender, amazed that this bear can actually talk, gives him a beer.

The bear says, "What do I owe you?"

The bartender stops and thinks for a moment.

"Even though this bear is smart," thinks the bartender, "he probably hasn't been in many bars."

So the bartender says, "That'll be ten dollars."

The bear forks over the money and starts drinking his beer.

After a few minutes, the bartender can't restrain his curiosity, so he walks back over to the bear and tries to strike up a conversation.

"You know, we don't get many bears in this bar."

The bear looks up from his beer and says, "Well, at ten bucks a beer, I'm not surprised."

An older couple were lying in bed one night. The husband was falling asleep but the wife was in a romantic mood and wanted to talk.
"You used to hold my hand while we were courting," she said. Warily, the man reached across, held her hand for a second, then tried to go back to sleep.
A few moments later she said, "Then you used to kiss me".Mildly irritated, he rolled over, gave her a peck on the cheek and settled back down to sleep.
Thirty seconds later she said: "Then you used to bite my neck."Angrily, the man threw back the covers and got out of bed."Where are you going?" his wife asked.
"To get My Teeth!"

HIs attorney said any money collected from DefendDrew.com will go into an account that Peterson will not have any control over. But the site has since been disabled.

Do you find this as disgusting as I do? Why is he not concerned where is wife could be?

This man is not right in the head.
