Our legislators just awarded... the 'leaders'.... another 70 BILLION to continue the ongoing massacres in Iraq?

BUT this horribly wronged vet - must accept and be content with less than $1000 for the injustices done to him . . . from WW II????

Despicable - our leaders, our armed forces, and the whole of the USA public - who does NOT stand up - and scream. . . to END this debacle. . . and compensate this VET his fair due.

I was going to pass on this - then I read the answer by MadforMAC - who didn't bother to read your reference and so raises the insult level to beyond RED.

"According to the Army, 28 of the soldiers were convicted of rioting, including Pvt. Samuel Snow, who spent 15 months behind bars."

Based on an obviously false conviction - and now officially recognized as false - both because of prejudice and the fact that Snow was elsewhere unconscious during the "riot" - Snow has just received a grand total of $750 from our government - the amount he missed being paid in 1944. No interest, no compensation for inflation, no apology, no removal of conviction from his record.

Also, Snow got $0 for having been unjustly given a dishonorable discharge. So not only did he get no benefits at all - and an undeserved record as a criminal - the incident relegated his life to menial tasks.

Now dying and 83 - Samuel Snow will never see justice - at the hands of a government throwing more $ BILLIONS at an effort causing our relatives to risk their lives as Snow did - 64 years ago.

It's hard not to wish those so oblivious to reality to be on the front lines of a suicide attack - hopelessly outnumbered

Sorry for the anger ... its all a game to the youngsters of today, isn't it?

I'm confused, the vets from WWII were treated pretty well. What exactly is the $1,000 for, is that per month for disability?

We have lots to scream about, and many do, the problem is they don't care to listen.
