PUBLIC EXECUTION TELEVISED DURING PRIME TIME TV. That is the way to make the biggest difference. Kill.......be killed, period. That should be the law. If the crime was blatant, intentional and witnessed then it should be the express death penalty, no tax payer dollars wasted on jail time or trial. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY!

As a Canadian every time I hear of another shooting it just reinforces my hatred for the stupid constitutional right to bear arms that so many Americans will continue to stand by and defend. The argument of guns don't kill people, people kill people is a ridiculous defence as very few mass killings have taken place involved a knife or a baseball bat. I am grateful that in Canada our gun laws are strict. And this is the fourth this year providing you count what happened in Colorado.
Canada has had maybe 4 in the past 100 years.
Furthermore, after 20 years of practice, 14 of that in a major Canadian city emerge, I have yet to treat an intentional GSW.

Duagabab:
Your society has been violent since 1776, so populace really doesn't factor into it. We average 5 deaths per million per year, in the US it is 120 deaths per million per year, that is roughly 165 gun related homicides in Canada per year vs 36,000 per year in the US. The numbers don't lie and it seems like many Americans wish to be able to conceal weapons and bring them to work, school, church. You will all just kill each other of. As for our media, gun related deaths, in particular homicides aren't an every day event but they all make the national news as do the death of our soldiers in Iraq, every one of them.

We were talking about that in class toda because we have like current events.

and my teacher said that phyclogists and phychiatrists (sorry about the spelling)have figured out that it could be because there isn't much light and the days are getting shorter. They said that humans need the sun light. All the shootings have basically occured in the North and it gets darker, quicker there.

what is wrong is you allow anyone to have a gun? get rid of the guns and people might be shocked to learn that gun crime will go down just look at gun crime rate in countries were people are not allowed guns it is a lot lower. simple fact USA has the most guns and it has the highest gun crime rat, it does not take a genius to figure out the answer, and all the would be cowboys who think if they had there gun they could take down the mad men sorry to break it to you the most likely outcome is you will get yourself killed or shot the wrong person.

Makes a good case for conceal carry permits doesn't it?

When more citizens own guns less people will be killed by nut jobs with guns.

There won't be the opportunity for these criminally insane people to kill multiple children or citizens without someone confronting them in the act of killing.

Blame the parents of these retards. Blame society. But most of all blame the retards themselves. I wonder how many more people need to die for the country to realize we need better security.
