Will it remain feasable for those houses in regions susceptible to floods to be insured against flood damage? Or will the insurance premiums go up so much the home owners might find it difficult to find buyers to sell their houses to? Would that eventually affect house prices? Cheers.

Madeline's parents have broken the law by leaving young kids unattended. Even if she hadnt been kidnapped she could have accidentally injured herself in the flat alone. The parents are obviously too irresponsible to look after children so do you agree that their other children should be put in care to ensure that they are never left alone again?

Ok, I know it rained really intensely but FFS we are meant to be an advanced western country! A bit of excessive rain and all the rivers burst their banks and the drains go awol. Ridiculous. Where are the flood defences, and when is our knackered out Victorian drain and sewerage system gonna be upgraded into the 21st century??!! Gordon Brown - sort it out!!!

They're coming on and verbally abusing anybody who dares to have the opinion that maybe the McCann parents did something wrong that night.

They're also stealing genuine user names and listing questions relating to Madeleine.

For someone to be so abusive and passionate about this, could they be related or hired by Team McCann, or are they just crazy?

No doubt you'll see some examples below.....

Is it because these two allegedly intelligent doctors really are 'at most, naive' or

because they are only inexperienced parents and the nanny wouldn't have left the children unattended or

because the team of high exec lawyers, hired after a couple of days, advised them from the start that it would be an admission of guilt?

Good advice for the McCanns has been in short supply - their press conferences have been ill-advised and totally botched up by Gerry. Why is he being allowed to continue with a blog where he continues to spell his daughter's name wrong, mentions her only in reference to the 'fund' and give the opinion that jogging is much more satisfying than looking for his eldest daughter.

As for Kate, under Gerry's thumb? What is she all about - is she going to continue moping about opening emails, getting her hair/make up done/picking her outfit for the day?

McCanns - stop jogging and stop blogging. Your daughter needs you.

Admittedly she was on a hiding to nothing. As Gerry S eloquentally put it 'She was put in charge of polishing a turd'.

However I personally would give her a D. She had the opportunity to tell Gerry to stop his ridiculous posts. Or if he insisted on them, at least going through and editing them to cut out the self indulgent carp that will come across in a negative light.

And her half hearted attempts at justifying the McCanns behaviour that night. Dont even get me started ........

Actually having thought about it, let me change that D to a straight out F.

I watch the travel channel a lot. They have do have 2 sets of stairs and they do have an emergency exit in the train. The steps are used for maintenance and emergencies. I would consider people trapped an emergency.

Sorry, if wrong category.

It was announced in todays Daily Telegraph that David Cameron could face a leadership challenge in the near future.

Do you actually think that this will happen given that the Conservatives have now changed their name to 'the David Cameron Conservative Party' as can be seen from the ballot papers in Thursdays by-election in Ealing Southall?

I was listening to CCTV News just this morning with my wife who ia a nurse and a Chinese too, (Sunday 22nd July 2007 at 6 34am )when the lady said Chinese nurses from Beijing went to Africa to work. She continued that out of every 10 (ten) patients over there, 8 (eight) had AIDS. She perceived Africa as a country. l wonder why many Chinese perceive Africa as a country and Asia as a continent. May l know if that is what they are taught in school? l will definately try to know where those nurses are working and also try to see if it is really true that out of every 10 patients in Arica ,8 have AIDS. Your facts will do me a big favour. Thank you in advance.

I mean come on...they chase all the Talaban into Pakistan after 9/11 that was a no brainer to see...then they do a 180 and exit stage left into Iraq...totally forgetting about Afghanistan and all those who fled into Pakistan.

So what now, are they saying they are surprised to find out that all these years they have been plotting and planning within Pakistans borders undisturbed?

Give me a break...

From todays Express.

http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/14230

"POLICE have uncovered details of the escape route taken by missing Madeleine McCann’s abductor, it was revealed yesterday."

"A new witness has reported seeing a man rushing past the tiny Nossa Senhora church in Praia da Luz towards the seafront at around 9.30pm"

A 'new' witness?? Where has he been for the past 3 months?
And suddenly he remembers a night from 3 months ago and the specific time?? WTF?

Anyways it goes on before finishing with a gem from Gerry.

"We hope our efforts will help make the world a little bit safer for all children. Kate and I believe there is a strong, public feeling that crimes against children, wherever they may occur, are totally unacceptable."

Uh Gerry, you tend to make the world LESS safe by handing kids to paedo's on a plate. Don't you dare lecture me on the good you are doing in the world. And yes that last sentence of yours, well Duh Friggen Duh, we never knew that till you told us!!

Much of what one hears on the news in the United States is what occurs in Iraq and Israel; yet, seldom does the general population in the United States hear of what happens within Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Venezuela, Uruguay, Equador, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, etc.

What's more, our school systems in the United States rarely teach the basic social and geographic fundamentals of these numerous countries. So why is so little news reported on what occurs within the entire western hemisphere?

It is a fact that the world's cattle produces 18% of the carbon emissions which are introduced into the atmosphere.

This is a much higher contributor to global warming than planes, cars and all other forms of transport put together.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/newsnight/2007/02/meet_daisy_the_cow_global_climates_enemy_number_on.html

However, while politicians are keen to highlight the damage which planes and light bulbs make with regard to global warming they are loathe to highlight the main contributor towards this environmental degradation, ie. the meat trade.

Is it therefore true that meat eaters who are keen to do something positive with regard to global warming are in fact just hypocrites?
