Madeline's parents have broken the law by leaving young kids unattended. Even if she hadnt been kidnapped she could have accidentally injured herself in the flat alone. The parents are obviously too irresponsible to look after children so do you agree that their other children should be put in care to ensure that they are never left alone again?

If all the children that were inappropriately left by parents were put into the "care" of the local Authority there would need to be a residential children's home on every street in every town , the other houses being taken by Foster Carers who could take up the slack.
Building more prisons to lock up for life, or execute, the scum who took her may be a better use of time and money, think about that instead of jumping on the McCann Hate Campaign Band waggon.
Also you clearly know little of how the so called care system works or you would not be suggesting subjecting thousands more children to it.
I have first hand experience and trust me when I say it is not so great.
Lastly where is your proof that Madeline's siblings are in any way at risk or are being abused in anyway ?
Or are you basing this very childish and ill informed suggestion on the basis that the McCanns having made a tragic error in judgement once are set to do it again ?
Why would they ?
Do you not think losing one child in this way is enough for anybody ?
Stop trying to attract a pat on the back from the members of the continued hate campaign and think about it.

Do you have a clue about what you're saying here? I suspect not.....my parents were neglectful of my brother & myself....we were on the "at risk" register & finally taken into “care”

Although we were supposed to be taken away for our own protection, we were subjected to cruel treatment from the very people supposed to be taking care of us. I was sexually abused twice while in "care" & many other things took place while we were brought up in an establishment deemed as our protectors.
Obviously for some children being taken into “care” is a better option than the treatment they’d receive at the hands of their parents.

If you & many like you were to get your way in removing the twins from the McCanns, you’d in fact be making their (the twins) lives a misery…….why would you want to do that?

It is INCREDIBLE to me that people protect the McCanns.

They are guilty of leaving the children unattended for long periods on a regular basis. That is stupid and illegal.

There is no defence. If Madeleine had not been abducted then eventually she would have sucumbed to an accident as most unsupervised youngsters do in time.

The only reason the twins have not come to more harm is that their is a handy crece available. Should there come a time when this is not available then we can be sure the twins will become a nuicance as Maddie had become.

Telling the whole truth tio the police was a bit too awkward so the investigation is jeopordised because Gerry Mchunt cant tell all the truth.

THEN these arrogant t**ers make a lot of money from this and give up work.

They have never once said "we were wrong"

There is no defence. No defence whatsoever.

No, definitely not, little Indian girl! and if you're little enough to be influenced by the pack of McCann bashers, you should first do your homework and read up on the facts instead of making such thoughtless suggestions!
The twins have lost their sister, would you have them lose their parents too?
The McCanns have learnt their lesson, the hard way.
If you're hard hearted enough to be unable to empathise with them, at least leave them alone in their search for their baby.
Have you any concrete proof that the McCanns were neglectful of their babies during their daily life in the UK?
If you haven't, and have based this little post, on what happened that tragic night, don't you think you're being totally & completely unfair?

Edit: Well said Saturn5!

I am not really sure if that would make the situation worse or better, but I do think the McCann parents should be investigated for their irresponsibility for their parenting skills because they couldn't carry out the most important one of the basic parenting skills. Children are suppose to be protected at all times.

Agree with 99% of what you say .. however i think the twins should be placed under a supervision order to ensure the parents will never leave their children again ..

The parents should be supervised too and do some parenting classes

I think Saturnfive has given a very good reply which I wholeheartedly agree with.
I am wondering if u have been in the care system at all, we both have and cannot suggest it as "a way of life" thank u. I have watched the debate re the McCanns with interest. Of course they should not have left the kids on their own, but the replies are so vindictive from some quarters I am wondering if they are from some parents whose children have been taken into care?

The twins have lost their big sister (hopefully not for good) and there's no reason to make them lose their parents also.

The parents didn't break the law - it is deliberately vague on what constitutes neglect under age 16 since some parents actually do leave for a while to get milk or whatever. They didn't commit a crime no matter what the yahoos on here think. It was a mistake to leave her alone, but they realize that and those little twins deserve to be with their parents who obviously love them.

Of course they should, but come to think of it, they aren't really in Kate and Gerry's care much anyway, they are either stuck in a creche for 8 hours a day, or left on their own so Mummy and Daddy can dine out in the evenings.

i'm not sure that they should be put into care, but the parents should be investigated. its not acceptable to claim to be "naive" when it comes to your kids safety and wellbeing especially when this comment is coming from two highly professional doctors.
