such as

"Our search for Madeleine is nothing without public support"

I have no doubt Gerry, there would be NO search at all if it wasnt for the public since you and Kate sure as hell aren't interrupting your holiday to 'leave no stone unturned'.

"Kate and I believe that someone, somewhere knows something about Madeleine's abduction,"

- Oh yes Gerry, someone does know something. We just have to pressure them into making a mistake and forcing them to reveal what they know hey Gerry ;)

You know, I've never been able to figure out why his own people even turned on him somewhat and said there was no weapons of MASS destruction in Iraq. It was common knowledge that IRAQ did have and were building these weapons for many many years and Sadam was using them on his own people. HE obviously KNEW Bush was going to attack, right after 9/11 and Bush started going after the Tliban in Afghanistan, IRAQ had every single weapon moved into syria of into well hidden underground bunkers and tunnels that Sadam spent years and like billions of dollars building.

Sadam wasn't a friggin terrorist?? Specifically bent on causing the USA considerable harm???????!!!!!!!!

He didn't have connections to every single terrorist group??

COME ON PEOPLE!!!!!

I read this news article online and I am just apalled! Australia is one of America's strongest allies and this is what happens!

Aussie 'left for dead by Americans'

Thursday Jul 19 00:23 AEST

An Australian private security operator was left for dead by American forces after he was seriously wounded during an ambush in southern Iraq.

The US refused to provide a helicopter to evacuate the wounded man after being told he was Australian, News Limited reports.

The Queensland man, who suffered severe leg and abdominal injuries, was delivered to Basra air base by a British road convoy more than seven hours after the attack.

The June 25 attack near the town of Al Zubair, 15km southwest of Basra, was carried out by at least six gunmen and involved roadside bombs, small arms fire and rocket-propelled grenades.

Two Toyota Landcruisers were destroyed in the attack.

Three of the man's Iraqi colleagues, including an Iraqi interpreter, died in the attack.

The security operator underwent surgery at a British military hospital and was later evacuated out of Iraq.

He remains in the region in a serious but stable condition.

Where does our loyalty stand? Everytime I turn on the news I'm hearing or reading about this Vick story about dog fighting. But our laws are so relaxed on sex offenders and rapist. PETA is one of the strongest activist group for animals but if they used all that effort on humans maybe this country wouldn't be in the Hell hole it's in.

In one year alone, approximately 4,300 child molesters in 15 states were released from confinement.
* Of the 4,300 child molesters released, approximately 3.3% were rearrested within three years for another sex offense against a child.

Last week some rich oil magnet in the US was put on trial for accepting free-gifts for his wife..........while he had shed loads of money. Seemingly these were classed as bribes.
So how much money is enough?
And what do they do with all this cash!
I know George Micheal gives alot to charity and so do loads of other stars, and even some other rich folk who have shed loads of money.
SO I ASK AGAIN HOW MUCH MONEY IS ENOUGH??

Given that they were on holidays so all usual routine is out of whack, how did they manage to get all 3 of their children to sleep, all at the same time, and all conveniently at a time when the McCanns wanted to go off and have dinner?

And apparently they managed to do it all week, not just the day Madeleine went missing.

Or can we safely assume that sometimes the children did wake up, and as such there was always a huge risk leaving children alone in an unlocked room?

I think this will possibly be my last post (but one!) about this tragic Madeleine case. I can hear a lot of you cheering..lol. So for those who are interested, have a look at my post from the Mirror forum please...and notice that its not just us lowley yahoo-members (as Im sure Gerry would call us) who express anger towards the McCanns, people in Gerry and Kates profession do too!

A lot of what we,ve said on here, has been said on medical forums too. And some goos points have been raised.

I just saw on the news that it was 38 years ago today that Armstrong and Aldrin landed on the moon.

Watching the moon landing on TV is one of my earliest, vivid childhood memories. What do you remember about this day (if you were alive)?

My son sent me the "WORLD AT WAR" DVD that the Daily Mail are giving away on that subject (I recall the television original series!) and there was a BBC programme on it a couple of weeks ago.
I also have heared of a book that I *may* buy - Anthony Beavor?
Anyway the original question is as in the headline as it got me thinking i.e. :

Would you say that the Battle of Stalingrad was *the* decisive battle of World War II

And does that explain how ordinary Russians feel about current relations with the U.K./U.S.A./the "West"?
Best wishes,
Joan.
