I know this is a very sad, morbid question, but what do you think would be worse and more sad to be the mother of the murder victim or be the mother of the person on death row about to be executed?

Its the president's prerogative. Bill Clinton pardoned over 450 people, including dangerous felons.

in light of current terrorist situation and everyones views on how to deal with them, how many of you would be prepared to actively campaign for the death sentence to be reintroduced in britain and just how far would you go to do it? should we campaign against the government or do we just roll over and accept that we always be victims and not fighters? if you dont agree with the death sentence then what do we do with them ( not what you would like to do!)

The news from london are saying that the terror is going to strike us again. It sounds bad as it is.

Are we doing all we can in order to stop it from happening? It's seems like we don't know when and where.

Just the thought of this makes me cringe. She must have no soul at all. I would have her sterilized straight off (with no anesthesia) and then send her to the deepest pit in the worse prison I could find and leave her there to rot. How about you?

I certainly thought the attack on the airport at Glasgow over the weekend was a bit pathetic and amateur. Considering the skill and intelligence the terror cell had to produce such a dangerous explosion they just seemed to have not quite planned their operation as well as they might have.

1) The attackers never injured anyone except themselves.
2) They got caught straight away and were never going to get away.
3) The choice of target and timing was poor. They targeted a doorway entrance and had very little chance of causing much casualties.

The result was a lucky escape of course for the public and we should be thankful for their incompetence.

I'm watching the news and am (obviously) really pleased and relieved to see that the police are making such headway in their investigations into the disgusting terrorist attacks/plots.

However. We were just given a huge amount of info about one particular suspect, including his and his wife's full names, ages, qualifications, career history, and details about his parents in Jordan. Oh, and not to mention the fact that we were SHOWN A PICTURE OF HIS HOUSE. We weren't offered any real evidence as to the proof against him. (The same was not true regarding several other suspects in the same report.)

Now everyone knows who he is, and where his family live and work.

So... what if this man is found to be genuinely innocent of all the charges? Even if that is proven to be the case, the BNP (and other assorted morons who don't know their ar$e from their elbow) will no doubt burn his house down anyway.

Who can justify the ridiculous 'trial by press' nonsense?

i am watching the news just now and it showed clips of the terrorists at glasgow being led away, but they had covered up their faces, why? surely if they want the publics help with info about them, the public need to be able to identify them in the first place? what possible good reason is there to hide their identity?

Take a look at the following clip from Yahoo News regarding the bombing at Glasgow International Airport:

Police said one man arrested in Glasgow is Bilal Abdulla.

According to the British General Medical Council's register, a man named Bilal Talal Abdul Samad Abdulla was registered in 2004 and trained in Baghdad. Staff at Royal Alexandra Hospital said one suspect was a doctor of Middle Eastern or Iraqi origin who worked there.

A second man arrested late Saturday on a highway in central England is Mohammed Jamil Abdelqader Asha, according to a police official who was not authorized to publicly disclose the details and spoke on condition of anonymity. The medical register said Asha trained in Jordan, gaining a medical degree in 2004.

The left keeps denouncing the war on terrorism and says that the solution is to offer economic opportunities to Muslim countries. Their rationale is the extremists are mostly impoverished underclass Arabs. Really now? How do you explain this?

Or do they just make you angry. After all, they have not made me any less likely to go into central London, or use a major airport. Personally, I am more scared of the idiotic gangs that are stabbing people all over the country.

So, do the terrorists actually create terror; are you now more scared to travel etc. Or does it just make you angry that people can act like this?
