on the wright stuff this morning they did an article about an advert for information for madeline mccann, it had been shown in cinemas and countless children were terrified becuase she had been taken from her bed at her holiday home. the mccanns pulled the advert from the cinema reluctantly due to the severe upset caused to the children. however the advert failed to mention madeline was left alone at the time, do you think this is another act of irresponsiblity on behalf of the mccann campaign? after all these children probably think that maddies parents were in the apartment when she was taken!

"AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - The Dutch National Crime Squad has arrested a man on suspicion of trying to extort money from the parents of missing 4-year-old Madeleine McCann by saying he knew her whereabouts."

Fact is these nutters would have been less likely to have contacted if they had not gone around different countries on a mass publicity drive.

They also appear to totally discount and disregard news from anything other than their own publicity drive - WHY?

Let's be clear about this. This question is NOT about Bush's activities. This isn't about whether Bush should or should not have commuted Libby's sentence or whether he will or won't pardon him when leaving office.

This is about NOT messing with the way things are. One of the checks and balances in our justice system is the absolute power of the executive branch to pardon or commute. The whole point of this is justice and/or mercy when the executive believes the justice system failed or where mercy is demanded.

I personally believe the President should NOT have commuted Libby's sentence. However, he did. And just because that makes some people angry does NOT mean we should do away with this part of our system of government, in my opinion.

What do YOU think?

They are crap parents and should not get any support from us. They should be prosecuted and the twins taken off them. If they ever find Maddy (and i hope they do find her alive) i hope she is taken into care and looked after by people with a shred of decency, unlike the power hungry, money hungry McCanns.
I'll await the bleeding hearts gang saying what a nasty person i am, but i'll tell you this, if i went out i'd pay for a babysitter and i'm sure you all would too.

"MADELEINE McCann’s parents were given a boost last night when David Miliband assured them of his full support.
The Foreign Secretary phoned Gerry, 39, and Kate, 38, in the Algarve. A spokesman said: “David Miliband has been in the job less than a week but it was high on his list.
“He wanted to let them know he’ll do all he can to help find Madeleine.”

Ya I feel bad for the Iraqi people and U.S. Soldiers, the place is a living hell. Itès so wrong but I got my own life and problems to deal with. Itès not like I can do anything about it anyway right. Do the American people have any responsibility and accountability for the actions of their Government.

God Bless the Iraqi people and U.S. Soldiers

Since that awful day on September 11, 2001, there has been no organized, succesful terrorist attack on American soil.
Why not?

Could it be:

1-The Bush administration has done a good job protecting us?
2-Terrorists are being drawn more to Iraq , instead of America?
3-The terrorists are planning something even bigger and are just being patient?
4-The terrorism threat is not as bad as we thought?
5-We've just been lucky?
6-Some combination of the above?
I have my own ideas, but I want to know what you think. Why has there been no organized, succesful terrorist attack on American soil since 9-11?

Quote from UK Timesonline:

"President Sarkozy has fallen foul of intellectuals and critics who see his passion for jogging as un-French, right-wing and even a ploy to brainwash his citizens...."

Is this really a secret "right wing" conspiracy or are the French blazing a new episode in the history of stupidity?

Obviously, the UN sanctions are effective, despite the Iranian president's claims on the contrary. A third round could prove devastating. Since China wanted to help resolve global issues, why wouldn't it support more sanctions? Iran is a country that has broken promises and defied the Security Council in the past, and the international community has no other choice but to impose sanctions. It is myopic to try and stabilize Afghanistan and Iraq while going to war with Iran. If the world negotiates a partial uranium freeze, a nation like Iran will find ways to take advantage of that situation in the future. Why won't they just comply with a full freeze and prove that the nuclear program is peaceful?

It just doesnèt seem to be getting any better, just worse. When is it time to admit defeat. Why canèt George W. Bush get out of his idealistic cloud and join the real world. Is he that stubborn that he canèt even accept that Iraq is a disaster and maybe it will never be what he wants it to be. That he lost. Realistically, itès lost. They will never accept what Bush wants for them, even if he has good intentions. They hate George W. Bush, and they will fight the occupation just because itès George Bush, just in spite of him. Does he not see that.

It's the single most strategic resource on the planet. It literally and figuratively drives our economy. Do you realize that everything from car fuel, to plastic bike helmets, to crop fertilizers are made from petroleum?

I honestly cannot think of a better reason to go to war.

Why do people say the US isn't fighting against terrorism, they're fighting for oil. Is that really a bad thing?

Live Earth is this weekend. Thousands of people traveling to concert venues, how much carbon based power (CPB) will be used for that? How much CPB will be used for these concerts. What about the waste they generate. None of this seems Green.

And the Artist. They live lives of conspicous consumption. Is this Green. They advocate the bling, but what about the effect extracting these jewels has on the environment, is this Green?

MTV will air the concert, but it also advocates conspicous consumption. I dont recall anyone on MTV Cribs talking about thier Green lifestyle.

The most recent global concert was at the G8 summit to bring awareness to the crisis in Africa. It raised no money for the cause, just raised awareness. Wouldnt $ have been more useful?

Maybe this will raise awareness, but do you think its hypocritical?

Also, i want comments on the concerts, not if thiere is a climate crisis or not...Thats off topic.
