Why do people on here support/like the Mccanns???

They are crap parents and should not get any support from us. They should be prosecuted and the twins taken off them. If they ever find Maddy (and i hope they do find her alive) i hope she is taken into care and looked after by people with a shred of decency, unlike the power hungry, money hungry McCanns.
I'll await the bleeding hearts gang saying what a nasty person i am, but i'll tell you this, if i went out i'd pay for a babysitter and i'm sure you all would too.

I can understand people defending the McCann's from what they see as unjust vilification, and some of the comments on here are too personal for comfort. However, the more I read about the circumstances of the night she was abducted the more I think there is a conspiracy of silence between the McCann's and their "friends". The way they treat the twins - constantly sticking them in the kids club also beggars belief after they have just lost a child. But Madeleiene should still be our focus and I hope she is found.

Its not about liking the McCanns; we don't know them personally, you know. There is not one of us (who don't stoop to villifying the McCanns or any grieving family) who condone them leaving their babies unattended. Its just that we choose not to rub salt in their wounds by comdemning their every single consequent breath & action since that tragic day, which some people enjoy doing. Its pure unadulterated spite under the guise of seeking justice for Madeleine.
And you're not a nasty person and i'm sure you'd pay for a babysitter (i'd probably have dinner in the balcony with my baby on my lap) but thats no reason to have that disgusting "lets stone the creeps" attitude.

I haven't the faintest idea whether I would like Gerry & Kate McCann. I don't know them. Then again, neither do you and yet you think you know enough about them to brand them "power hungry, money hungry" and that they are not fit parents.

The difference between you and me is that I realise that it is not fair and just to judge them on the basis only of what has been reported in the media and invented (and repeated and repeated) in this and other discussion boards.

I'm not so much "pro-McCann" as I am "anti-McCann basher". I second Faith's comments.

I think it is nasty -what else would you call it? - to wish for Madeleine to be permanently separated from her parents and to wish the same on her siblings. How can you, as a parent who loves her child(ren), wish that on any child?

They have lost all respect from me. Part of me feels for Maddy and hopes that she's healthy and happy with a family who cannot have kids of their own who will love this child and not feel so compelled to have kids just because it's expected. And as for the twins. It would be harsh taking them away from their parents but I think it'd keep them safer!!

i think people some people are supporting the Mc Canns as they have also neglected their children and know that , this story could of been about them and their mistakes with their children

i would say that it would be a nasty person who wouldent want justice for an innocent child

They commited the crime of making a mistake.a crime which for them has totally wrecked their lives forever. Even if the outcome is a happy one it does not need people like you adding to their impossible to imagine torment.
I genuinely hope that you never make a mistake that could bring such horrid consequences Try looking for some positive in your life I am under the impression you desperately need it.
