I feel plenty safe. We've had our guard up ever since 9/11, and nothing's happened yet.

Frankly, I hope we DO get another huge attack! I'm sorry, I know how terrible that sounds, but it's only seeming more and more like a terrorist attack is the only way Americans can feel proud about their country these days. <:(

Just a matter of time. The worst that could happen is if Iraq, Japan, China, Korea and the rest attacked at the same time.
While 98% of the soldiers are here and ther fighting this country will never be prepared for what happens.

Do I feel "safe"? -Yes. -But NOT because our Government has anything to do about it. The REALITY is, another terrorist attack is GOING to happen. And there'll be another one after THAT. And yet another after THAT...- & so on. This is the "Lottery of Life"...-you take your "place", & you take your chances. While our Government can intercept some (maybe even MOST) of the attacks... A FEW are ALWAYS going to SUCCEED... And if YOU are in the WRONG place- at the Wrong time- you're GOING to end up like all those victems of 9/11. You can waste your life worrying about it...-Or you can go about your "business"- & hope you don't end up on "CNN" the next day. That's just the way it is. :)

No. 9/11 was horrific, terrorism is horrific, but it still accounts for a tiny tiny fraction of a fraction of american deaths. I have better things to worry about: things that are more likely to happen and things that are in my control.

The US is in no way a dangerous place to live in terms of terrorism. Many countries suffer terrorist attacks on a regular basis. The US has had one.

Living in fear is the goal of terrorism, and it is the goal of the US government, both. People who are afraid can be easily manipulated because of their fear.

I felt safe after 9/11 more so than ever before. The previous administration did nothing to stop the coming attacks of 9/11 and now that it sits in opposition it blames the current Administration.

RKO - Wake up these Islamic-fasicst will never stop, they attacked us 6 times before 9/11, and the administration did exactly what they wanted, we moved out of S. Arabia. and Kuwait. what was thier response, they took us for cowards.

It is time we wake up and see this threat for what it is.

Again I feel much safer in US then anyother nation in the world.

I would feel safer is we had a president that could think and make correct decisions, there's no need to be in Iraq and we have the best equipped military in the world, but not good at street fighting gangs when they can't tell if someone is a grandma going to the store to get milk or a terrorist..we should be using f-16's on known targets and eliminate the evil...

I feel less safe each day that the Bush Administration pursues its current course in Iraq and the Middle East. Why? Because without a genuine peace conference that involves all parties in a negotiated solution (including, yes, even Al Qaida), none of the parties will believe that America wants anything other than victory on its own terms. Without a negotiated solution similar to the one obtained in Northern Ireland, we will see 50 years of bloodshed just like we've seen between Israel and Palestinians.

Very exciting counsel. i think united states of america remains a primary "wannabe" objective for the Muslim extremists yet some thing could be working - according to hazard our better protection decrease than the Patriot Act? whilst areas of united states of america with intense profile objectives may be in threat for preliminary terrorist plans, by using propaganda fee, the motive is to deliver the finished united states of america to its knees, so no State or community is truthfully risk-free interior the long-term. I shudder to think of what is going to happen if Obama is elected and we are all inspired to connect arms and sing "love, candy love" to thwart our sworn enemies.

Yes and if you don't, then you are giving in to their wants. You aren't supposed to be terrorized by their attacks, or saddened, thats their whole agenda.

Only problem I'd be getting some more **** for being a Muslim, but I didn't really care about that after 9/11 either

We are the most powerful nation in the world.
We have no threats.

Our gov, knew about 9/11 but brushed it off due to patriotic arrogance or because they needed a reason to go to war.

Our troops getting killed, well we are invading another country. Don't let them getting killed over there confuse you.

Fear is what is used to convince the populace tha there is a threat so keep those war mongering monkeys in office.
