First Monday in September (the 3rd) is Labor Day.
Also the 2nd isVJ Day, the 13th is the first day of Rosh Hashanah, the 21st is POW/MIA Recognition Day and the 22nd is Yom Kippur.
Sorry, the only August holiday I know of is my grandson's birthday on the 30th.

September 25th is my birthday---not a national holiday but I take it as one.
Yom Kippor---the Jewish Day of Attonement is Usually in September
Labor Day---1st Monday in September..
Rosh shoshana--this year september 13th.

its a holyday [is that close enough to getting a realised peace that isnt ever allowed to come]
