Well thank you veyr much for increasing any form of fear into people, the flooding is not non stop and when peple believe it to be so, they are increasing the rain. Simply mind technique see, if everyone did not listen to the news or weather, and had a firm believe it would be sunny day, then just maybe, it will show the true power of a combined mind system of humans.

Although the last part of the question is rather witty.

Just out of curiosity - I trust you're aware that within historic times (specifically the Medieval Warming period) the water table in Britain has been much higher? For example the peak of Glastonbury Tor used to be an island. By contrast, the water level - including sea level - was as much as 150 feet lower at the peak of the last glaciation. Such are the vagaries of nature, which do not respond to human will or action no matter what Al Gore tells you.

It's not time for a lighthouse - most of the island will remain above water. But parts of that fetid swamp called Londonistan might need to be abandoned or re-engineered.

its quite easy stop building on flood planes
or
fill the bottom part of the houses with concrete and turn in into the British equivalent of Venice

no its time to clean all our drains and get better flood defences .
the rain can not be helped but the goverment should do more to stop flooding into peoples houses

no way your kidding , first of all u will not have time to build in the rain, and if you are using cement then it will not dry
