I was just wondering if there were other war torn nations in africa besides sudan and dafur. Does anyone know?

Frankly, who cares.

It seems that ALL of Africa is war torn, disease ridden, drought beset, famished, enslaved and impoverished.

It's sad. But all human beings have the capacity to improve their lot, and after all the trillions of dollars in aid that has been sent there, it's time these people did something for themselves.

Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Somalia, Rwanda, Burundi. Pick one. Darfur is just a region of Sudan. You might want to start reading the web site for the Voice of
America and the BBC. They even have live streaming of news that you will seldom hear on U.S. domestic outlets.

many years ago the nation of Chad was war torn. Somalia was another. Rwanda in which a genocide was declared to be occuring in the 1990's. Zaire i think. the former Belgian Congo. Zimbabwae . Sierra Leone area. Somalia again U.S. soldiers have been reported as fighting muslim forces there overthrowing the muslim government. Ivory Coast.
