Admittedly she was on a hiding to nothing. As Gerry S eloquentally put it 'She was put in charge of polishing a turd'.
However I personally would give her a D. She had the opportunity to tell Gerry to stop his ridiculous posts. Or if he insisted on them, at least going through and editing them to cut out the self indulgent carp that will come across in a negative light.
And her half hearted attempts at justifying the McCanns behaviour that night. Dont even get me started ........
Actually having thought about it, let me change that D to a straight out F.

In my view this is the more bizarre part in the McCann story. This person was appointed in secret, with no scrutiny. There was no advertisement for the job of 'Campaign Manager' for Gerry McCann's awarness campaign.
Despite the blunder pulling and leaving all words unturned, Gerry McCann is still the front spokesman - let it continue as it will be his downfall. As for the Justine McGuiness, what is she doing???? Is she living with the McCanns??? We have read some quotes and press statements from her with little substance. Her latest (Sunday Express) is absolutely scandalous - it WOULD have made a big difference as it would have exonerated the McCanns if worded differently. Combined with Gerry's statement on his visit to a America, it's just another blunder. Marks out of ten = 0.

It is not Justine McGuiness' role to whitewash (or polish!) anything. Its her role TO HELP IN THE SEARCH FOR MADELEINE. What she does & how she does it & what she is paid is not any of your business. You are not even aware of all she does. And yet you have the gall to stand in judgement & pass inane ratings...!!! Please!!!
I do believe that the McCanns, their supporters and the Police are privvy to information that cannot be made public. Maybe thats why you (& yours) don't understand her moves.

Yes I agree with someone above, theres got to be some mc connection there, have you seen the names of the board members or whoever they are for the madeline fund, they are all mc's as well. I dont think the mcguiness has done much for them at all, she should have answered people's queries much more responsibly and professionally about the fund, on the mirror forums people have tried to seek answers from her and her responses are shocking, like people are cr*p on her shoe. In addition, her comments about the family 'might' have done something different in hindsight and that there might have been an abduction if an adult had been in the room are laughable at best and dangerous at worse. If this case does anything for any parent in this country (or elsewhere for that matter) it should demonstrate that lax supervision of children leads to danger and harm to them and comments by her, seemingly indicating that this is not the case should be questioned by those in authority. Is she doing any good or harm to the Mccanns? I couldnt care less, I hope that they are prosecuted or at the least investigated at long last as would any parent having done the same thing whilst in the UK.

Like everybody else, I think she's probably advised but whether the advice has been taken is a different matter. With their track record, I don't think they've taken much advice off anybody.
She doesn't even justify their actions that night - they might have done things differently, but hey they might not!
The whole case is crazy.
