Does anyone think that it's just time before Iraq or Iran or someone will engage in nuclear war with us...and drop bombs on our cities like we did in Hiroshima and Nagasaki? What do you think is the first step our country might take to rebuild if this tradgedy did occur?

Let's face it...I regularly watch ESPN. I have seen the fact that many channels (especially news channels) are biased towards a certain political agenda (CNN with the Clintons, Fox with the GOP)...but I have to wonder if there is any such political bias at ESPN, the nation's leading sports channel. I have seen programs that would raise eyebrows such as the Barry Bonds reality show...the American football drama "Playmakers" (American Football = NFL, Football = Soccer if international readers are confused)...and the one-time enlisting of Rush Limbaugh on the network's NFL coverage...I am also aware of Keith Olbermann's political slant on his MSNBC show (and the fact that he was a SportsCenter host). So to make a long story short...is there an actual political bias at ESPN?

The Liberal scum running PBS did not want to run a perfectly normal documentary caused is it riled its PC sensitivities and there was a "conservative" journalist involved. What a bunch of asses.

And they promise to have the story up next. Then after 45 minutes and five commercial breaks later they have the story. It drives me crazy. I know it's a way to get you to stay tuned to the channel and up their ratings but it really is annoying.

Ok guys, here is another person's continual and repeated assurances that Saddam was NOT a terrroist..does anyone actually think like this???

"Message: ok. here's your problem. you associate any significant killing of innocent people as terrorism. if a leader orders his military to kill his own people, that is not terrorism."

Madeleine is barely mentioned anymore. She's only four and God knows what has happened to her - if she is found alive (as I hope she will be), she has a hugely difficult life ahead of her. Why doesn't anyone seem to understand it is the child that needs to be the focus here? And if you think the McCanns aren't concerned enough about their daughter - what makes you any better through the things you are writing here?

Can you please explain to me (preferably in a rational and inoffensive manner) what you feel is being achieved by continually making sick jokes, throwing about conspiracy theories and generally having a go at them?

Yes I know it has been raining hard!

Is it the effects of Global Warming as the gov. and the greenies and liberals would have us believe or

Is it the amount of building and structural changes to the terrain that have largely caused it.

Forget about the floodplains for now, Look at the amount of Trading Estates, Supermarkets, Housing estates, roads etc that have been built.

All of these cover the land in concrete or tarmac and take away the natural drainage of the land.
They force rainwater into runaways that are not a natural part of the geography.

Look at all of the "Polly tunnels" now covering acres and acres of land.

Look at all of the intensive farming going on where farmers are building fast irrigation into their fields to allow rain water to run off as quickly as possible.

Are these not the real reasons for the cause of such severe floods. The government would have us think "Not" as it suits their tax policies to blame global warming.

What do you think

The wrestling team has started a summer program, which wrestlers are now preparing for the upcoming season.
The wrestling team has had a great season last year, and qualified for the CIF.
During practices, the wrestlers participate in live wrestling, practicing moves, and a little fun such as extreme dodgeball.
Participating in team activities help boost team work and relationships in wrestling.
“We are preparing to get better for next year. We have a lot of potential for CIF next year” says four year varsity wrestler, Frank Ayalla.
The wrestling team is practicing extremely hard and this upcoming season, they are planning to inflict lots of damage.

'Kate and I are not naive'

Or is it that your naive when it comes to basic parenting skills, but not naive when it comes to manipulative marketing opportunities?

Why am I surprised though. Is there anything they've said that they haven't later contradicted, backtracked, whatever other term you care to use.

A lot of comments have been made by areas hit by floods, from caring to indifference.

Yahoo News has reported that London might be hit by a flood in the next 2 weeks. Do you think London can cope if it is hit by a major flood disaster and be immediate in its response?

I have just read somewhere that "Sir Gerry" is to be trying to make a stand against child abduction and to try and teach parents about the bad sides of neglecting children.

Ok, here is my question. Which parent is going to listen to him and take him seriously?? Its my view that other parents should be proving to him just what child neglect means, not vice versa.

Please can this man just be gagged.

And please let us find poor missing Madeleine.
