I'm a disabled vet and I was discharged in '97 and can completely relate to the stories of long wait times and so so service. When I would make an appointment for say 8am, it would be normal to wait 2 or more hours to be seen by the doctors. Eventually i just said screw it and got health insurance on my own and it's worth it.

In Japan, whenever there is an earthquake or whatever and people need to be temporarily housed, they have to sleep on the floor of the local schools sports hall! With everybody else!

I've always thought that was a pretty poor affair for a rich country like Japan. My question is, however, what would happen to people in the UK who found themselves similarly homeless due to natural disasters?

I REALLY wish Daniele could see that her dad is more right than he is wrong.
She is not listening to him..she is building defense before ever listening to what he is actually saying.
Hang in there Dick...she will come around sooner or later.

It urkes me that hurricane Katrina people won't even try. Fema just gave them another year extension tell June 30, 2008 it is already going on 2 years and they still are using any excuse not to work. Don't you think its about time for them to get off their butts and go to work? They are getting more benefits then the September 11 victims ever got. I live here in Houston and I moved to Houston a year ago from the west coast with no job and me and my husband both had jobs in the first month of moving to Houston. But how do you feel about the hurricane Katrina people?

He was host of a late night talk show where all he did was talk trash about Clinton. Yet durring that administration our country was thriving and had eliminated the whole "defisit" thing. Now Limbough is tagged as a "DOPER" as well as a,,,get this,,,comedian. Did the guy ever say ANYTHING that was funny? Yet people listened. Now? They're listening to Bush,,,?,,,,,Now that's funny...

Cindy Sheehan, fresh from the sale of the Texas property with money to make bail felt the time was right to get herself arrested. In the attempt to restore the grandstanding spotlight to herself Nancy Pelosi was quoted regarding the Bush "impeachment" diatribe.
Pelosi has steadfastly dismissed any talk of impeachment, saying Democrats should focus their efforts on ending the war in Iraq.
Now that the 36000 carded pork requests have been force fed on the defense bill, she has her new 757, the liberal non taxpaying us territories (in direct violation of the constitution and yes it will be rescinded) are voting in congress and debate has been stalled by her design on the 2006 power grab perhaps now she sit down, shut up and allow WORKING americans who understand the real threat of al qaeda to end the war without intimitdation.

The U.S. government caught Saddam, tried him, and hanged him, which is great. What I'd really like to know is how close the U.S. armed services are in finding the terrorist Al-Queda leader.
