There is a statue of limitation in every state which is usually 7 - 10 years. If it is over that there is usually nothing to worry about.
My step father had a ticket in california from 15 years ago and they found him living in Texas and they sent him a letter saying there was a warrant for him. He called them and said something about the statue of limitataion and they have never bothered him again. it has been 5 years since then and he has driven in and out of california and been pulled over at the scales because he is a truck driver and when they run his license it comes back clean.

Depending on the type of ticket that was issued you could very well have a warrent out for your arrest.

They're probably using it as part of a statistic to bleed more money from the state and federal governments.

Sure is . My friend has been in Ga. for 2 yrs, she was stopped for an illegal turn. When the cop ran her license, New York had suspended them.
