It would be some flood if their bedrooms are under water. Everyone in a flood zone should have free dinghy's so they can float to the nearest safety point for supplies etc, or an aid package for the really isolated folk, I mean Tesco's can find they're way to the smallest towns, something other countries just don't have

Buckingham Palace is pretty big . It is temporary and I'm sure that if it were to be longer scale that those sleeping in Japanese schools would be better accommodated. Hopefully, though (and I'm absolutely sure they will) that the British authorities will not house people in a large building several feet below sea level in an area cut off from government services in the middle of the flooded area like the mayor and city of New Orleans did.

a lot of the flood victims are sleeping in either sport hall or in community centres, but some have been lucky enough to go and live with relatives that have not been affected by the flooding, i think this country has not done enough to help these poor people. The government seems more interested in other countries helping them when i think at this moment in time the government should be helping this country.

We also put people to sleep on floors in sports halls, schools, any kind of hall or area that's safe from wherever they're escaping from. I think every country does this, because you can't simply magic luxury accom out of the air for people to be safe in after a disaster.

It's very similar, whatever safe space that can be used is. I live in Cheltenham and the pump rooms- normally hired out for weddings and conferences was being used around the corner from us, but it could be a school, a village hall, a sports stadium...

Sports centres, community halls and schools. Whats the problem?
Ok so it isn't ideal but neither is being flooded. What do you expect? Cosy 3 bed semis set aside for emergancies?

When I was homeless , due to my Councils failure , I was not given any help what so ever
So why are people expecting help , I know this sound harsh , but , I lost everything I owned , and as yet no one wants to know about it , because it's to do with the system
Corruption within the system , and what a mess that is

We make our victims sleep school halls, community centres, football grounds and any other large area which is dry and has basic amenities. money and affluence do not matter when it is an emergency.
