studstrickle...i agree with what you are saying. of course those babies should never have been left, but nothing is ever going to change what happened that night, i do hope she is safe and well, but i think i need to take a break and whatever is going to happen will, regardless of the fact that i post about them or not.. thanks

Aye I have taken a slightly more humerous approach, but I think It is dying down anyhow. The 'neglect' argument has run it's course, as has the 'mistake' one and we are now onto the afters of daily blog details. Part of me wishes we had some news, as these parents would not exist in our minds if it was not for wee Madeleine who, bless her, I hope is is safe or at peace. I can still easily cry over that wee girl, the daftest things can set me off and I don't think that will change for some time. I know of a lass that was so distraught she wanted to end her life. It has really affected folk, but shown our very human side, even those whose anger has been directed at the parents for putting ther daughter at risk, a risk being something we all have to do as parents, weigh up the pros and cons, but not necessarily in the context that has been discussed.
that saying about taking the rough with the smooth sounds about right for this.

Of course we should! Two months ago we would not have know anything about the McCanns or poor little Madeleine who was very much neglected and is still missing. If you take the views and the attitude her parents, the father in particular is astonishing and beyond belief.
It is a shocking story of which we have followed with concern for the child and the way the parents have acted all through the months. I do not think we should scale down the concering views or critisism. Their are many issues to be resolved for example:
(a) Their actions must be accounted for whether through legal means?
(b) The established facts in Madeleine's disappearance?
(c) The Media blackout and the way the media have handled the McCann reporting?
(d) The fund what is it being used for?
There are many more questions that need answers. I have children myself and don't just sit around on the computer. This is one of the few subjects on here that has really compelled and infuriated me enough to comment on.
I am not a McCann basher nor am I anti McCann. I have found the forum to be very interesting and informative. So don't go Dolly K!

I can't. I just cannot give up. I understand where you are coming from and sympathise. Nothing, no other news item has hit me like this one, purely down to the antics of the parents. I want justice for Madeleine. I have felt like giving up before but I have two children and a beautiful grandchild. I feel so much for Madeleine, I think she was a rather sad little girl. I play with my grandson and remember my children when they were tots. Frankly I cannot see where I am going with this I have completely lost the thread. Take a break hun we will miss you. Meet you on another subject soon. By the way there is one thing you are wrong about, you are no opinionated ...., just a caring loving person. lol

Dolly, I've been thinking the same thing for weeks. I couldn't help but post a Q today, just to see the response. If you take all the speculation out of the subject would your opinion be any different, If you never had ventured into the subject would you be any happier.
You have a concern for a missing child, don't let your compassion fade.
I think it's about time a lot of people took a break from this subject, and let the case come to it's own conclusions, as I'm sure it Will.
Edit: Chin Chin! x

I, like everyone else has answered loads of questions on the Madeline case and slaughtered her parents. I just can't seem to stop myself, as soon as i see the big M word I'm tapping away at my keyboard. Poor Madeline is still missing and yet I feel her parents are having super vacations, & plenty of attention (which they didn't give to their children, otherwise they would have been at the dinner table with them on that very night when Madeline went missing).I hope and pray Madeline will be found, but as time elapses it's looking very bleak. They to me haven't shown half the remorse they should have been showing, if any, for leaving their 3 youing children alone. As far as I'm concerned probably some of you may agree, they obviously were used to leaving their young children unattended, so it meant nothing to them to go abroad, put the children to bed, in a strange room, in a strange country, then go out wineing and dineing.
I've seen people treat their pet animals with more love and care, taking them everywhere and never letting them out of their sight than what these so called parents did with their babies.

You're right. I'm absolutely sick to death of them. There is no progress regarding Madeleine and the questions about Gerry are tedious and going nowhere. How often can we post the same questions and answers before it becomes yawnsville? Having said that, some are still worth answering but I don't answer as many as I did unless it's a good day.

I promised myself I would withdraw from the McCann debate a couple of weeks ago, and to be honest, haven't been on much in the last while(real life has a habit of taking over sometimes), but then I read something - the latest blog in this case - and I realise I still can't fathom Gerry McCann, and it makes my hackles rise all over again...
So yes, it's good to step back a bit, but the little four year old girl is still missing, and the people she trusted are betraying her now as much as they did on the night she disappeared.

I get caught up in it too. Thing is I have met loads of great people on here since I have been on News. But sometimes I read a Q about the McCanns and I cant be bothered to answer anymore. Got a bit bored really. But then it comes back. Swings and roundabouts really. x

Nice point Dollyk but i think Madeleine's abduction has touched a chord in all of us that won't keep silent till a concrete conclusion is drawn.
It would be nice tho' if we could speak of the bigger picture...on how we can do our bit to nail the creeps who snatch children, rather than find fault with the McCanns.
