if they had taken your child on holidays with them, and it was your child that went missing, instead of Madeleine, would you still be supporting them, now be honest with your answers

you are spot on, no I wouldn't is the simple answer to that. I am kind to the McCanns, but like I have said before, often it's to give the opposite to what at times has been a horrid campaign against them, I disagree with that. The McCanns like they said were naive, but so were all the other parents who were on that trip. Poor Madeline was the victim and that makes the rest of the family victims too. I know Gerry has a smarmy face but that is not suffice for me to hate him. What if he had looked like Brad Pitt, would folk have the same opinion then?
Just seen your abuse to another poster, there is no need to be like that, it was a perfectly honest answer. You can disagree without telling someone to get lost surely, that's just aggressive.

i dont support or support the McCanns i just see it objectively from both sides. the lady above says she does not even go into the garden when her kids are asleep is a bit extreme, we cannot keep our eyes on our children 24 hours a day. what they did was wrong but unless you are like the lady above who does not even go out into the garden when the kids are asleep how can we judge them. any ones kids could be taken in the middle of the night whilst we are asleep, so knowing that will you all be up tonight watching over them ? i don't think so, this family were being watched and as i have said before IF the person responsible broke in thru the back window if the parents had been sitting on the front veranda Maddie could have still been taken right from under their noses but i accept that leaving them so far away with the doors unlocked and out of sight was just asking for trouble and when the time is right this should be investigated. i think too many ppl on here see it from the one perspective, i try to see it from both sides.

I am not in support of the McCanns but I would like to answer your question anyway.

There is absolutely no way on this planet that I would ever let my son out of this country or even away in this country without me and/ or my husband.

Not because I dont trust my friends, just because I think it's a weird thing to do. Holidays are family time.

Put it this way - would you feel comfortable having a meal with them in the Tapas Bar and leaving your own kids in your own apartment, alone like Madeleine and the twins were.

If they had lost any of my kids through these circumstances - sorry, but I wouldn't be responsible for my actions.

I do not support them so I guess I shouldn't be answering, but I would like to say something here. If you support them you are saying yes to:
child neglect
wasting peoples time and money
bleeding the media dry
luxuries meals and holidays
you think Gerry is leader of this planet...............
The list is never ending.

i could say their help has heavily deminished. There are nonetheless going to be some troublesome cores of direction, yet I guess this is a small share of those that donate money. saying "i'm with you" and giving somebody one hundred quid is two completely extremely some issues, talk is way lower priced.

I'm not supporting anybody. If someone leaves their children to go off for a night out then it's wrong, but it's equally wrong to castigate them simply by reading inflated stories in the press and on here.
There are many people in the UK who go out at night and leave their kids, often with babysitters who are complete strangers. If what you are saying is right then they are all at fault.
Here in Spain parents go out at night and take their kids with them, but that is not the case in the UK. Children are a focal point of the family. Not so in the UK. Many parents treat their pets better than their kids.
If someone is guilty of neglect then it is up to the CPS to decide not what goes on here.
Furthermore, most on here are simply more interested in stirring things without remembering there is a little girl lost here. This is a tragedy of enormous preportion. That little girl is in my prayers and my thoughts if not yours.

Well I don't support them (is there anyone on YA who doesnt know my stance on the issue lol) BUT to answer your question, I put it like this.

If this was a babysitter who did these actions, people would be outraged at the babysitter. So my question is, why should parents get extra liberty at playing with their childrens lives than babysitters get? Parents don't 'own' their children. They are not possesions you can do what you want with. Parents have a duty to bring them up safely in this world.

Remember the bottom line is Madeleine could have grown up to have a relationship, have children, do remarkable things in this world. And all of this has been snatched away from her because her parents decided their meal was more important.

I dont support them sorry!dont know if u want my answer but here goes.
I would go out there and fcuking kill em if they let that happen to my girls!

At current they're not suspected of anything yet my belief is I do not think they shud b allowed to work in their proffession(doctors) any longer-why the hell should they be trusted to look after other peoples kids when they cant be trusted with there own.
It has been talked about that it seemed strange that all their children were asleep not stirring at the same time-
possibly they gave them some of that medicine(cant remember its name)that makes kids with sleep problems sleep(also used for adult hayfever)
as if sum1 took the child and no suspisions arised in the hotel....wouldnt madeline of been screaming I know my 4 yr old would of!unless she knew the person or was in a state of sleep still.And why did they just take madeline would one of the twins not of been easier to take-smaller and less likeley to shout out something like wheres my mummy I dont know this person etc.
I do feel bad for them as if it happened to me Id be devastated but then again I wouldnt put my children in that situation.
how can two grown ppl of good proffessions be so irresponsible...I dont go out to the garden when my kids are in bed let alone out for a meal...the fact that they seriously had no quarms about their safety-getting out of bed/pulling things on themselves/generally getting up to mischief and hurting themselves like little ones can.Why did the mcanns have confidence that that wouldnt happen...had they drugged them with sleeping medicine.
I genuinley dont beleive otherwise that any normal human being would leave children.
It rings too many bells for me and all seems a little dodgy.
It just concerns me where there twins are now.
I think if maddie is returned safeley she should not be returned to the mccans.
If it was anyone else that had done this there twins would of been in care now but because theyr proffesionals they are treated better.
There was a small article in the paper today that a lot of ppl in britain have protested that the mccans should be investigated/prosecuted for neglect.
DAMN RIGHT THEY SHOULD.And b4 all the whiners on here start objecting to what Ive said Im not saying that I dont hope maddie is found alive and well ,but yes I am saying the mccans should be investigated...however bad they feel about maddie in my eyes they still neglected their children by leaving them on their own.
