I mean, we are all aware of the hypocrisy of Black people when it comes to speaking these words (and worse) amongst themselves, and remaining conspicuously silent when a Black entertainer says something similar. Why else would Blacks be outraged if not to get one over on whitey?

When you hear the caustic, derogatory language of people like Chris Rock and the lyrics of hip hop and rap music, how can we justify the reaction to this moron's comment. Are we operating on a double standard?

When the case first became public, he was quick to hit the airwaves calling them rapists and criminals.

Now that it has proven to be all just a bunch of lies on behalf of the accuser, why doesn't he issue a public apology with the same strength that he used to denounce them?

So this Don Imus Guy made a racist comment. Now since it was about a minority, they are all calling for him to be fired and saying that somebody including the networks he is on need to take responsibility for what he said. Yet on the other hand Rosie can say terrible things and nobody tells ABC to get her off the View. When she said that MAINSTREAM Christians were more dangerous than the Taliban, Civil rights groups and the media weren't lined up trying to take ABC down and get her fired. Same thing with these Duke Lacross players- they had nasty terrible things said about them, Their civil rights were violated and slanderous accusations made, there are no civil rights groups out there protesting what happened to them. This is a huge Double Standard- are select minorities the only people entitled to civil rights protections. Aren't White males and Christians entitled to the same respect? Or are the civil rights groups just as big of bigots as they claim everyone else is?

I do not think he should lose his job over his stupid comment about the Rutger's Women's Basketball Team...I think those girls should just loosen up and grow a backbone...when someone says something like that the more you harp on it the worse you are going to feel..they are doing themselves an injustice to keep this in the news for so long....Don Imus does not deserve to lose his JOB over something so idiotic...

Ok, folks. Help me out here. Why would those young ladies give a damn about what Don Imus said? Why has this become the media storm that it has. I will bet you that most of those girls probably didn't even know who he was before all of this. I don't get it. An old man said something that he thought was hip and funny. The nation explodes. WOW

A little racial chauvinism? Which is worse, having your hair commented on by a radio host or being persecuted (not prosecuted) for rape by a DA!!!

Racial chauvinism is the old way; anything that puts the welfare of certain people over the People as a whole is disgusting. All racial chauvinists are scum. If your proud to be white or proud to be black, you're all the same in my book...

Today a bomb goes off inside the heart of the American Green Zone, while McCain & Bush keep telling us, things are getting better'. Yeah, right!

Abu Bakr said he saw the bomber's body amid the ghastly scene.

"I saw two legs in the middle of the cafeteria and none of those killed or wounded lost their legs — which means they must be the legs of the suicide attacker," he said.

Several other lawmakers also said they saw the limbs, believed to be those of the bomber.

If remarks of Imus were so great as to justify his dismissal why should the public continue to permit Sharpton to spew his venom?? As He charges others of racism He forgets His campaign to keep a Jewish store out of a black area and His attacks on the Duke victims of a black's charges. His type of twisted information is not worthy of continuing. Lets get him fired.

I would say Kurt Vonnegut contributed much more to society than Anna Nicole Smith and thus deserves a bigger story.

Seems to me like they want to create a position to oversee the war. Isn't that what Bush's job is? Sounds like a scapegoat position to me. I don't think creating yet another tax-payer funded position is the correct approach to the problem. But what do I know, I'm not part of the white house.

Here's the story from the Washington Post

Do not say because they are black because there are plenty of white rappers that use deragatory terms. Jesse Jackson needs to get his *** over to the major record labels and stay there until they pull every CD if this is how it works.

....it said that a local public middle school classroom went crazy when a teacher left the room. So here's how the whole thing went down. The teacher said she was gonna be out of the room for liek 15-20min. And one student dared 2groups(1guy&1gurl in each group) 2 have sex in front of the whole class. And they had a guy stand at the door 2 be a look out and the studewnts actually had sex! 1 guy was14 the was12 and the gurls 12 and 11. When the principal found out all 4 of the students who were havin sex were charged and the guy who was lookout was charged and im only 14 so i was shocked and i just wanted 2 know how all feel.

There's a big deal being made of this Imus guy calling a mostly black Rutger's women's basketball team "nappy headed hos", and since I not from the U.S.A., this expression is totally lost on me. Can someone please tell me exactly what this means and why is so offensive? Thanks...
