Al Sharpton wrong and out of line ?!?!?!?!?! NEVER!!!!
He will never own up to anything he says, even if he is false, he will run around it and avoid it at all costs.

He won't apologize because he is a media whore who continues to be the face of black people as long as the media wants it. If you ask the average black person what they think of the situation, they'll tell you that what Don Imus said was stupid and he should be fired because he was there in the past when civil rights were being debated. However, they would also really like people to stop calling Al Sharpton a black leader because he doesn't lead anyone but the weak-minded. They would also say that they could care less about the Duke Lacrosse team and their stripper fiasco because lots of black students with promising futures go to jail over the lies of some white chick and no one apologizes to them or cares about the fact that it never happened. That's the cold truth buddy. Deal with it.

UGH! I am soooo sick of white AND black people whining about these issues!
There are actually other races in this country BTW! The fact of the matter is we live in a totally racist and bigoted society. Everybody hates in this country. White vs. Black. Gay vs. Straight etc.
There are some whites (notice I said SOME)who need to stop acting like they are suddenly victims when they still have all the power, and some blacks need to stop making excuses for not succeeding and handle their business. We as black people have to work harder for the same things admittedly, but that's the way it is--- So don't ***** if your're not part of the solution.
Al Sharpton should absolutely apologize to the falsely accused LaCrosse players for his disparaging remarks, but we all know he won't. He's not exactly soaring to the top of the evolutionary scale. And the fact is someone like Sharpton doesn't want peace among the races. He would be out of a job.
Sharpton and Imus are two peas in a pod. Neither of them are representing the races, only their own selfish interests. This publicity is the best thing that could have happened to Imus because now everyone is talking about him.
That's what all of this is about. So please everyone, stop acting like Imus is the spokesperson for every white person from Cali to Maine and that Sharpton is Dr. King!
My challenge to every American is: Try your best to put this crap aside and deal with people on an individual basis.
I am a black man who was fortunate enough to grow up in a diverse area of the U.S. I love the fact that I can live in a rich great nation and know all different types of folks from different walks of life. Any of you who don't feel the same need to step to the other side of the border ;- /

Part of it is the self-defined job function. He is there, similar to Jesse Jackson to find, seek out and then denounce any potential "racist" issue. I hate to say this but I think if you go around always thinking that white folks are the devil, and that most whites are "racist" by virtue of their skin color, he may believe secretly that the evidence was "covered up" and that these white males got away with it. Yes, i know it is crazy but when you live that mentality for so long and for so many years, it is difficult to concede that you were incorrect. The most Jesse Jackson said was: "I hope everyone heals from the incident." Meaning what??? Trust me if this had been a group of Black males accused of this behavior towards a White female and they were vindicated in a similar fashion of the crime, we would never, ever, ever hear the end of it. How else do they keep getting paid for their work if there is not a racist plot going on somewhere, everyday in the United States?

Because Al Sharpton is the racist person on the earth and Jesse Jackson is right next to him. Every time any person of color says that a white person looked at them cross eyed they are screaming racism but let a white guy say anything about a black guy and its because he grew up poor and in the ghetto. The rules are not even on the equal rights. There can be no scholarship for whites only its not allowed but there is the united ***** college fund. Someone try and find a lawyer that will take on a case of a white male being treated different because hes white it will be very hard to find.

Because he is one of "the troublemaking twosome", "the revs of rhetorich" that do more to drive a wedge between races than unite any two or more of them.
Ann Coulter stated in her April 11, 2007 piece, "Ho Ho Ho, Merry Imus!" that Sharpton or mankind was NOT due an apology, only the Rutger's girls.
I agree with Ann, that if Imus had called the basketball players fat, race-baiting black men with clownish hairstyles, then Sharpton might have been due an apology, but Imus used a term that Stevie Wonder also did in his song, "I Wish".
"Nappy-haired" (or "nappy-headed") is not offensive. There are White people with "nappy hair". Just where does the term "ho" come from? Well, from a segment of our society that the Revs Al & Jess should be spending a whole lot more time being concerned about!

He will never apologize because he doesn't believe they are innocent. He will maintain that the woman is still a victim and something did happen, but now there is a coverup. What a bunch of baloney. It's the double standard at play. The first time I heard the 911 call on tv, I knew she was lying. There was something in her voice that made me doubt her. I'm sorry those young men had to go through this; but hopefully, they learned a good many things from it.

Unfortunately for the Duke Lacrosse players they are white and the accuser is black. I am totally upset at people like Al Sharpton. I can't stand the man. And now the accuser isn't being charged with slander of those 3 men.

It's obvious - Mr. Sharpton thought this was a clear cut case of racism and biggotry and acted accordingly. He was right, however, but not about who the victim(s) are. In this case, we have seen what is known as reverse discrimination. This girl blatantly used her race as leverage to get national attention and proceeded to use the arleady suffering Black Community's grief for her own cause. She saw an opportunity to take advantage of some white-bread boys and steal their money with lies.
Mr. Sharpton can't apologize for his slander or he will damage his reputation and position within the black community. Let's be real - those who have chosen sides in this case have already made up their minds about who was guilty and who wasn't. Mr. Sharpton may well believe that these boys were indeed guilty of rape, but nobody can prove anything except that this girl was loose. He will go down with his ship just as Mr. Bush will go down with the Iraq war.

He absolutely should but it will never happen. This guy is a clown. Don Imus was very wrong to say what he said but it's been way overblown, due to Al and Jesse Jackson's showboating. Imus should apologize to the girls of the Rutger's team and make amends. Aside from that, he should tell Al and Jesse to have a Coke and a smile. All they are doing is keeping the hate pot stirred up.

The Prosecutor is the person who should apologize first. He was trying to gain political points and did not care a fig whether he ruined those boys' lives or not. Mr. Sharpton just jumped on an already playing bandwagon.
