I do know that she was very much involved in the formation and sell offs within this group of companies http://www.thebiglifegroup.com/business/index.asp ( read detail ! ) including and incorporating The Big Issue in the North. company no. 03164559

Just who is being helped when buying the magazine from these unwell, unfortunate and vulnerable street sales agents then ? Who gets all the advertising revenues and charitable trust funds etc.? From what I know and see NOT the actual homeless people. Or they wouldn't still be there years later and getting nowhere fast. Ruth has been a busy girl and now "guards access" to Tony Blair ! What's in her investment accounts and from what sources we should wonder?!! The police seem interested in this whole murky affair. Are you keeping an eye on this "fundraiser" ?

Given recent events surrounding yet another scandal for the PM, the arrest of his 2 close aides on very serious charges (perverting the course of justic), the speculation that Blair himself is still keeping a few things hidden, and his recent re-interview by police on Friday of last week, do you think that his credability is shot to bits, his time is up, and he should stand down now; or do you feel that he has done a cracking job of running and improving the country during his ten years as PM?

There is no proof yet that what has been proposed by our (UK) security forces is true - that there has been indeed a plot uncovered to kidnap/execute someone on UK soil. Does that possibility terrify you? NB I am not interested in whether or not you believe it to be true - but your views on how that WOULD make you feel.

I lived in an area i didnt like. I moved out with no fuss. So why does the muslim youth ( 37%) want sharia law in the uk. Here we have a situation where the easy answer if you belive sharia law. Quite simple? Go to a muslim country where it is practised, this is called Courage of your Conviction in the uk. No dole, no designer clothes, no cars with go faster stripes, no women,(yes they do here) and no say in anything that concerrns the masses who live in squaller and a lifestyle that is 2000 yrs old. Even to the point or drawing water from wells like they did 2000 years ago. Lets get real guys!... YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE THIS COUNTRY FOR THAT KIND OF LIFE, SO PUT UP OR SHUT UP!

Yes, X-ray cameras are coming to Britain's streets, for the purpose of 'fighting terrorism'. (Aren't we getting ID cards to do that?)

So are you OK about this? Just by walking down the street they will see you in all your naked glory plus everything you are carrying. An invasion of civil liberties or totally justified in the 'war on terror'?

last year at school, we had the father of rachel scott (killed in the columbine tragedy) come to our school, and talk to us.
he was amazingly inspirational, and really made us think.
i hate to admit this .. but i have gone totally blank about what actually happened in the comlubine tragedy.
it would be helpful if someone gave me an outline of the tragedy.
thankyou so much ..

I asked about terrorism in India & pointed that everyone Indian has to worry about India 1st & not about the global terrorism. It's because since last 3 decades, India has been trying to globalize the issue & what exactly it got? More terror attacks, insecurity and innocent lives

Many answers which I received only advices to think "global terrorism" & not "only India". How bad!! Dr. Kalam asked a question about the Global terrorism & got around 20,000 answers (I mean advices) from our great Indian thinkers. It shows that we are not strikers, just thinkers with over 1 billion opinions. It is because we believe in easy sacrifice of the life, as if it’s very cheap for Indians.

Bush doesn't ask a question like what should we do about the global terrorism? He simply attacks. We are developing country (don't know when we will be "developed") & we have everything to strike back.

If I would get the chance to attack, I won’t care about the world. Save India first & then go to the rest of the world with the message of “Peace” like Americans……......Jai Hind...

It was the most magnificently awful interview I have ever seen! The guy who agreed to be interviewed was a poster child for the school of Idiot Thinking. He came out with such gems as "We don't need an increased police presence here because Muslim extremists aren't targeting Muslims", and "This is terrorism by the police - we are being terrorised in our own country". All this on the back of a plot to behead a British Soldier!!!

But to the question: this seems like a change in approach by Muslim extremists from mass casualties to targeted, potentially more emotive acts on home soil. If this is the case, should we now be more or less scared? It's the mass casualties that scare me, but I can see the point of view which says that these more calculated and potentially easier-to-carry-out acts of terror are even more terrifying because of the sinister motivation. What do you think?

Or, like the super thick student, do you feel terrorised by the police and unafraid of assassins???!!!

It appears not if you read and watch the british media. Black Jermain Jackson said this and nothing was reported or really mentioned. Jade Goody bullies a black person with not one racist comment and all hell lets loose?. Is THIS just another example of a massive reaction by a body of people who have not one ounce of moderation in their way of life unless it suits themselves. Currently we hearing birmingham muslims decrying the police for their arrest of some possible bad muslims and all saying not here, Why didnt muslims get together after 7/ 7 and march against this sort of thing im their thousand to show support for the british way of life?. Is it possible that they are not with us?.

Surely this is discrimination. They made no reference to what style he was using such as hip wiggling or teapot pose. It just said he was in the millde of the road. What do you think?

Anyone else think that they both or just him where planning on cashing in on there life insurance plan by faking a death? All those weird history searches on the internet from his computer make it seem like he was going to fake his death or hers (you can view them all on courtv..insurance plans, how much blood is needed to say someone died without a body, when does a missing body become dead, brazilian citizenship, storing blood) and maybe it went down wrong, she died and that wasn't the plan. Maybe he paid someone to shoot them, that is why no one came forward about there car being at the scene? Was this ever even brought up in court? It is bothering me now, and I thought this made sense.

It makes me sick to my stomach to know British borns were behind these foiled attempted terror attacks. British born muslims are the worst kind of terrorists in my opinion. I would prefer the idea that an immigrant terrorist is attempting to destroy this country rather a briton born and raised here.

Britain is no way near perfect, but it is what it is and i personally love my country and would never turn my back it ( shame others don't follow suit)

I think the only way to thwart the numbers of british born terrorist lies on entirely on the Muslim community. Decent muslims must weed out these murderous fiends and this radical behaviour.

We all must unite to stop terrorism in our land.

Have i got it all wrong ??///?Whats your view on this??????

I have heard that during the '71 war US sent its 7th Fleet to Bay of Bengal as warning to India to stop the war. Since US was and still is Pakistan's ally, it wanted to protect Pakistan. But Indians were not the ones to be intimidated by this. The US 7th Fleet was forced to return home. I want to know the full story. Please provide details.

Why oh why do the muslim community always complain when police arrest one or two of them on suspicion of terrorism? Do they see the rest of the country plotting to behead or blow people up? No! Surely the arrests are for their own safety as well as the rest of us out here! They always say 'oh no, he was a great member of the community and would never do things like that'. Didn't they say the same about 7/7 bombers, 9/11 terrorists and the rest of them? Yes! My message to them is....stop complaining when they arrest one of you on suspicion of terrorism and let the police get on with their investigations. The intelligence department know what they're dealing with - they know more than anyone out here, congratulations on the latest arrests! Keep up the good work!
