I'm not talking about beating the hell out of children, but parents smacking their own as a form of discipline. What right have the govornment, a bunch of Social Workers, and so called child protection organisations got to interfere in how parents bring up their own flesh and blood?? Isnt it simply imposing their own ideology on something that should have nothing to do with them? Nanny State/Big Brother gone too far?

The new legislation comes into force on July 1st 2007. The question is, why have I had to put up with inhaling other people's smoke in public for 8 years? Smoking is disgusting, irresponsible, smelly and expensive. The only advantage of it is that it puts tar and chemicals in your lungs...no hang on that's also bad. Why has it taken our government so long to prevent non-smokers inhaling smoke passively. In this health and safety-concious country, surely this should have been much, MUCH sooner due to the health implications?

Horribly morbid question, yes I am already aware. I'm working on a graduating thesis in history related to the dominance of men in the 20th century. Part of this has to do with capital punishment, which will be a small section in a presentation to be given to faculty.

Here goes. Are there any current videos available online of female beheading? I have had a few students run searches last week but came up only with a couple references. Death of a Princess interview during the early 1980's, which was not online, and a rumored video that was on altavista at one point.

Thank you to everyone to is able to assist in this slightly disturbing project. 80% is complete but this is holding up the second to last section.

Watch Isreali Ambassador to the US, Daniel Ayalon, dodge the truth and squirm his way through this interview with Sam Husseini, from the Institute of Public Accuracy. Ayalon buries himself with his brazen arrogance and intransigence. Typical.

Towards the end of the clip Husseini talks with Amy Goodman from Democracy Now about how Ayalon lied through his teeth the whole time.

There was a t.v. commerical aired in the U.S. sometime during the late 80's to early 90's (probably more the 90's, I can't remember). I use to laugh hysterically at it and I think it actually became part of pop culture at the time. It was a commercial about medical-alert jewelry (necklace) for older people/people who live alone/people with health problems. In the commercial would be an older person on the floor and they would say "Help! I've fallen and I can't get up". (I don't think that intrinically is funny, but the phrase became a hysterical line to use often, whether ethically right or not). Any ideas about where this commercial was from? Company? Anybody know if it still airs? Is it on YouTube?
