A house is not a restaurant, therefore the person who owns it makes the rules.

Just how far do you want big brother to go? What someone does in their own home is their business. I would not approve of any law that says what I may or may not do in my own home. This includes smoking. If we allow smoking bans for the home what will be next? No sex before 9 or no fatty foods. It could be anything. Keep the government out of the home.

"We thought we should ask people to stop peeing in the toilets too! And sleep...NO MORE IN THE HOME!!" Smoking isn't bad in moderation, like everything else, ya' know drinking, board games, food, co2, Jennifer Lopez, etc. Banning smoking is a form of discrimination, where are the rights of the smoker? You stand a better chance of gettin' killed crossing the street than by second hand smoke! So you better stop crossin' that road! Or slippin' in the shower, OH! Better not shower! Now you look like a hippie, and smell like on too, so grab a smoke and chill out!! Bible thumpers!! Like you do no wrong? Damned Republicans, go talk your Nancy Reagan propaganda somewhere else! You gonna tell the boys an' girls that fought in Iraq they can't smoke anywhere? They fought for our/their freedom, aren't we taking away that idea as soon as we put our laws on other peoples bodies? Where are the smokers rights?

No i think the whole smoking ban thing is really starting to go too far, if we did that then we could start banning other things that ppl do in their homes that we don't like that's not right and violates the rights of all Americans.

Banning smoking from our homes is like telling us how we are going to live. What we do, within reason, behind our own closed doors is up to us. Doing this will take away our constitutional rights & there have already been too many of those taken away from us..

The home is the only place the person can do anything he or she wants, so why should he not be allowed to smoke.

Sure, and while your at it, lets put cameras in everyone's home, make them answer to anything you don't like, and make sure you put serial numbers imprinted on every ones head and make sure you have folders on everyone like the government is now doing to all travelers...ban all books you don't like, censor all movies and tv programs, put listening devices in every tube of toothpaste...ban automobles, the exhaust make's me sick..

No. Instead we should make the sale of tobacco illegal, and issue all the nicotine dependent with nicotine substitutes.

Well, makes as much sense as the banning of marijuana.

It's sad to see people die from lung cancer, but it's even sadder to see personal liberties eroding by the minute. Whenever I see a traffic camera go up, I see a piece of the American Flag flaking away.
