Why oh why do the muslim community always complain when police arrest one or two of them on suspicion of terrorism? Do they see the rest of the country plotting to behead or blow people up? No! Surely the arrests are for their own safety as well as the rest of us out here! They always say 'oh no, he was a great member of the community and would never do things like that'. Didn't they say the same about 7/7 bombers, 9/11 terrorists and the rest of them? Yes! My message to them is....stop complaining when they arrest one of you on suspicion of terrorism and let the police get on with their investigations. The intelligence department know what they're dealing with - they know more than anyone out here, congratulations on the latest arrests! Keep up the good work!

Hear hear!

And I want to say I am so glad that soldier wasn't executed in the way that they were planning. That would have been a horrible end for a hero.

The Police are putting in a sterling effort to prevent terrorism (yes, they've made mistakes, but who doesn't?) and I will support them all of the way.

Well done to the Boys in blue for this one!

The whole mongerel creed is contaminated with terrorism. We literally do not know which to trust and who not to. Why should we have to take the risk? These people are here under sufferance, they show no respect or tolerance of our culture or beliefs. A temporary solution would be internment, but the ultimate solution is to destroy their power bases in Arab countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia and Syria. The so called 'moderate muslims' in this country are sleep-walking toward oblivion. It is going to be increasingly difficult to hold back the baying mob in the light of the revelation of these recent atrocities!

Totally agree.

If a Welsh/Japanese/Christian/Pagan etc. was arrested for planning to kidnap & behead someone, do you think the rest of their 'community' would be whining about 'victimisation'? White people get arrested all the time - do we whinge? No, we're pleased!

Some of the other muslims seem to take it as a personal atttack on themselves as well - so are they allying themselves with the plotters?

Genghis has spoken for all of us.

Hear, hear!
Did you see on the news the one man who lives near where the raids happened ? He said, "What the hell are the police doing here? There are criminals out there and they're all here - they should be out catching criminals".
He for one obviously does not believe that his fellow members of the community could do things like that.
I live in a very multi-cultural area and to be honest, I'm starting to be a bit afraid of what might be going on in my road.

I agree with you but I also agree that when a suspect is arrested on suspicion of terrorism and their name broadcast all over the media, it is only fair that their name is broadcast all over the media again if found innocent.

We need to be much more severe in our punishment of such crimes.

Unfortunately Muslims tend to be deluded fanatics who honestly believe they are the righteous ones, they believe they can do no wrong in the eyes of Allah, well i say arrest the lot of them, the innocent ones can always be released when they are proved innocent rather than guilty. The fanatics kill anyone who gets in the way weather it be an accident or not, they care nothing for human life.

If the Islamic communities want the suspicion on them to stop, how about stepping up your own efforts to prevent these youths from being brain washed into "jihad"?
I can't stand people who cried racism when they do nothing to prevent the youths of their communities from committing stupid crimes.

many muslims are definitely hoping the police have arrested the right people for terrorist activities, make no mistake about this.
if you ask pertinent questions in your community you will see that many people are not happy with the example of george bush, and tony blairs intervention with terrorism so it is natural for some muslims to act defensively about police intervention because its coming from the same place.
I am white british and completely understand that any intervention must be treated with suspicioun.
of course we dont want terrorits blowing up anyone anywhere, but muslims are under threat of being murdered by muslims, and i imagine they are feeling like they are in the middle.
its difficult for anyone to stand up and convince me that the intervention of terrorism in iraq is not suspicious and that there are ajendas for iraqi oil.
I believe strongly that the labour party owes it to its people to clear up the doubts about the intervention with british troops in iraq.
muslim people are very gentle, and i think if you cannot agree then you need to look and ask yourself why you cannot see this.
please dont fall into the trap of assuming that muslims are terrorists because that would be pathetic.
