jackson is the king of all blacks, why didn;t he get punished in the media for calling new york hymietown? is the media afraid of this *****?

its ok for someone like jackson to make racist remarks, cause all he has to do is yell racism because he is black, and because he is "king" people wont look at his hymietown remark as a racist remark

Good question. Why does it take a white man calling women "nappy-headed hos" to start all of this ruckus? African American entertainers use the N word and ho all the time with no repercussions. Jesse Jackson called NYC "Hymie town", apologized, and there was nothing else said about it.

Rev. Jackson certainly WAS criticized for his "Hymietown" slur and apologized for it repeatedly. He even made reference to the blunder in his famous "Our Time Has Come" speech at the Democratic National Convention.
I'm not a fan of Imus, but I think he handled himself honorably in the aftermath of his thoughtless comment. He admitted that it was wrong, acknowledged that his employers had the right to penalize him, and took it like a man when CBS suspended him. It was a bad comment, and Imus hasn't tried to make excuses or sweep it under the rug. If he hadn't apologized, I would also be calling for his dismissal; but he did the right thing. Firing him would be excessive.

You must be forgetting Jackson and Sharpton can say anything and the Media will give them a pass. Even Jackson's stealing money from the Rainbow Coalition to support his HO did not get him fired. How can the Media continue to give the two of them camera time. Catering to blacks in one thing but permitting anarchy is wrong.

Jessie High - Jackson can father children out of wedlock while married to another ..while" counseling "the president of the US ( Clinton) for his affairs..but the American bias liberal drive-by media will use him as their family spokes-mouth role-model ..only when it serves their purpose to make America ..or a white man look like a racist . The bias liberal media does what-ever it can to promote slander of the USA in the eyes of the world , any way it can . This is who they are .
This is who Democrats are today .
